I totally recommend this! The guides and the café staff were really kind. They explained everything in English for us, and even though we struggled a bit, we still understood it all. The instructions are detailed but easy enough for kids around 8 and up, as long as they’re patient. The only downside was the market stalls at the entrance my mom uses a wheelchair, and it made getting through a bit tricky without help. The café offers unlimited tea, coffee, and cookies, plus options like pizza, pasta, crepes, and pancakes, all at great prices. We were so happy to take home our finished lamp, which was carefully packaged, along with a personalized certificate. An awesome experience that’s totally worth it.

This workshop was really well organized from beginning to end. I met the guide at 8:30 am outside the Turkish Delight shop with a small group. He took us on the metro to Üsküdar where the workshop took place. The instructions on decorating our lamps were excellent, and we enjoyed unlimited tea and coffee along with lots of laughs. Afterward, we could either take the metro back or explore Üsküdar for a few hours before returning at 2 pm. I chose to stay and took a lovely walk along the coastline past Maiden’s Tower, watching fishermen and boats on the strait. It felt like getting two trips for the price of one! Everyone was very patient and friendly throughout. Highly recommended! They also offer other workshops like perfume making, glass painting, and leather crafting definitely worth checking out. Oh, and I had some delicious cake for lunch and even got to watch a chocolate maker for a bit!

The workshops were fantastic we made our own lamps from start to finish. Everyone got to be creative and design their own lamp, but for those who wanted, there were templates with traditional patterns. There was a huge variety of colors in the glass and beads, and it made for a great keepsake. The workshop leaders were super friendly and helpful, explaining everything clearly and helping us craft the perfect lamp. Once dried, they carefully secured and packed the lamps so we could take them home safely. I’d definitely recommend it.

Highly recommended! Mustafa was such a warm and friendly host who explained everything clearly and helped us with our lamps. It was really fun, and you get to take home a souvenir you made yourself. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Also, the guy who picked us up and guided us from Sultanahmet to Üsküdar did a great job.

Nice location and really good workshop. However, the workshop address was wrong. We had specifically picked a spot on the European side of Istanbul, but the guide took us to the Asian side instead. This ended up costing us quite a bit of time since we had to get to the airport afterward.

We got picked up on the European side and walked together as a group to the Asian side. It was such a fun and relaxing activity. Our instructor, Beza, was really lively and fun. We really enjoyed the class. The snacks and tea were a nice touch too. At first, I thought 3 hours would be too long, but honestly, every minute was worth it! Definitely recommend.

Going alone felt a little out of place, so I’d suggest coming with at least one other person. Still, everyone else and the staff were really kind and included me in the conversation! It was also a lot of fun making a lamp using my favorite pattern and colors.

It was nice that we could choose to meet on the Asian side or have someone pick us up on the European side and guide us through the subway to the Asian side. Overall, the experience was fun and the instructors were helpful. We did our workshop in the afternoon and were told they’d run out of some popular colors, which was a bit disappointing. They also gave us US adapters, which was thoughtful. Just a heads up you’ll need to wait at least 30 minutes for your lamp to dry. Most people used that time to explore nearby or grab something to eat.
