Our guide, Hassan, and our driver, Jenk, were both great. Hassan shared a lot of interesting information and really brought the tour to life. He took the time to learn where everyone was from and tailored his stories to reflect those backgrounds. The transportation was clean, comfortable, and arrived right on time for the morning pickup. We also had a simple but delicious lunch at a pleasant restaurant before visiting the Anzac section of the tour. I would definitely recommend this as a day trip from Istanbul.

This tour was exceptionally well organized from the moment we were picked up in Istanbul until we returned. The vehicle was spacious and comfortable, with a small group size, and the driver impressed us all with his remarkable skill behind the wheel. Our Turkish guide, Brak, communicated clearly in English and shared a deep and passionate understanding of Gallipoli and the role of the Anzacs in WWI. The long day was thoughtfully paced with a light lunch and three well-timed rest stops.

Even though it was a long day (we could only manage the day trip to Anzac Cove), it was an incredibly meaningful experience and absolutely worth the time and cost. The itinerary was thoughtfully organized and carried out with great care. The local guide’s expertise added so much depth, making the visit truly unforgettable. As someone who grew up in Australia learning about the Anzac's, visiting the key locations was deeply moving. Seeing the memorials and understanding how soldiers on both sides endured was emotional, even without having a direct personal connection to the battle. Lest we forget.

The trip itself was great, but the pick up and drop off arrangements were a downside. Staying in Taksim, we were the first to be picked up at 6 a.m., and it took about an hour and a half to collect everyone else. We didn’t actually leave Istanbul until 7:30 a.m. We returned to the hotel around 9:45 p.m. I would recommend the tour company consider fewer pick-up points where everyone can gather, so some of us don’t have to endure an extra 2–3 hours of additional travel time, especially since the drive to Gallipoli already takes around 4 to 4.5 hours.

The trip was excellent, and the guide was incredibly knowledgeable. It’s perfect for those looking for an introduction or who don’t know much about the history of Gallipoli. However, if you already have a deeper understanding of the campaign, you might find the time at each site a bit limited, as the tour mainly covers the key highlights. If you're hoping to explore trails, terrain, and outposts in detail, this might not be the right fit. But for a broad overview and main locations, it’s a great choice.

The pickup was punctual, and our driver Josh kept us informed about the schedule and breaks. At the first stop a gas station with a restaurant the toilets were spotless. However, the food options there were disappointing, so I’d recommend eating beforehand or bringing your own breakfast snacks. Lunch later on was good. The tour around Gallipoli was bittersweet. The graves were well maintained, but it was sobering to see how many unidentified soldiers are buried there.

Burak answered all my questions about the sites we visited and even brought a large bag of dog food to feed the stray dogs at the locations. The transportation was smooth, with an easy meeting point for the driver in the morning. The break halfway through the drive was the right length, with plenty of food and snack options. Our trip to Gallipoli was absolutely fantastic from beginning to end. We had an early start, getting picked up at 6:30 am from our hotel in a clean and comfortable minivan. The drive to Gallipoli took around five hours, but it didn’t feel long at all it went by surprisingly quickly. Although our driver didn’t speak much English, he made a real effort to communicate with the group when needed. Once we arrived in Eceabat, we stopped for lunch, which was delicious—authentic Turkish cuisine. After lunch, we met our guide Burak and began the Gallipoli tour. Burak was incredibly knowledgeable and had a brilliant sense of humour, which made the day so enjoyable. His insights and storytelling were both informative and deeply moving. We learned a lot from Burak, and I’m genuinely thankful we had such an engaging guide. His stories were touching and added real depth to the experience. The journey back to Istanbul took another five hours with a refreshment stop halfway. We returned around 10 pm. Absolutely worth it highly recommended.
