We were a small group of 10 strangers, so our guide gave us a personal introduction to Hagia Sophia instead of using audio guides. We really preferred this more direct approach.

The tour started on time, and the guide provided plenty of explanations. However, due to the number of visitors outside, we still had to wait about 30 minutes, which is understandable.

We received good information about the Hippodrome area before entering Hagia Sophia. The audio guide isn’t provided by the guide; instead, you scan a code inside to use it. We enjoyed exploring the interior, although we found the audio guide somewhat inconsistent. Visiting Hagia Sophia is definitely worthwhile, even though access is limited to the gallery level.

The audio guide at Hagia Sophia wasn’t very helpful, and the security check line was quite long.

The tour time was changed without any notification, which was very disappointing. Although I received the entry tickets electronically, I never got the actual tour but was still charged as if I had attended.

Honestly, it was a bit underwhelming. I understand the historical significance, but considering the ticket price compared to other historical sites we’ve visited, I wouldn’t really recommend it.

It’s a pity that the visit was limited to just the upper floor.
