Our guide was a very kind and knowledgeable gentleman. I did find the entrance fees in Istanbul to be quite steep. Since we had children in the group, they understandably became bored and restless at times, which was unrelated to the guide or the activities. Because of this, we ended the tour earlier than originally planned.

Our guide Fatih was friendly and well informed. A word of caution at the bazaar some items are priced quite high. We didn’t find the carpet seller bothersome; in fact, he was quite entertaining, especially since he spoke Low english.

However, we were disappointed when the guide insisted on taking us to a craft market that turned out to be a rug seller, despite our clear refusal. We dislike paid guides pushing visits to shops for sales pitches just to earn commissions, as it feels like a waste of time.

Istanbul is amazing, and Ali made the history really come alive. He’s friendly, knows a lot, and speaks great English. He was flexible with the plan and added extra spots like the Basilica Cistern. The agency handled everything smoothly. Highly recommend asking for Ali.

Our guide was a friendly person but didn’t seem very enthusiastic about guiding. He didn’t share much information, and we didn’t learn much. Overall, I don’t think he did a great job. Wishing him the best.

Our guide Ali was fantastic. He had extensive knowledge and offered excellent suggestions to tailor the day to our preferences. He was also very accommodating, even arranging a stop at our hotel later in the afternoon to drop off our sons who had had enough. Having a guide was a big advantage since we were able to bypass long lines some attractions had waits of 30 to 60 minutes, which we avoided. I fully recommend this experience.

Since I wanted to explore fabrics, he took me to three charming small shops, shared tea with the owners, and made me feel like a local rather than a tourist.
