Before the tour, I visited the bazaar on my own and honestly felt overwhelmed by the amount of options and pushy sellers. I also ended up paying more than I should have. But during the tour, everything changed our local guide pointed out where to shop, what fair prices looked like, and which vendors were trustworthy. Thanks to his presence, the atmosphere was much calmer, and shopping felt a lot more pleasant. I highly recommend doing this early in your trip so you don’t overspend in the more expensive parts like the Grand Bazaar. Kadikoy, on the Asian side, is incredibly affordable for the same items.
