It was an excellent guide, and I truly appreciated his deep historical knowledge and insightful commentary. We were lucky to be part of a small group of just two, compared to the large 30-40 person groups we saw. This allowed for a personalized, well-paced experience throughout the nearly four-hour tour. We had plenty of opportunities to ask questions, and answered them all thoughtfully. Although this tour is more expensive than others, the combination of a small group and such a knowledgeable guide made it 100% worth the cost

All tickets were included. We explored all four courtyards and nearly every part of the palace during a solid 4-hour walk. It was definitely worth the money. Be sure to bring some mineral water and snacks. our guide, was very friendly and patient. We truly enjoyed this journey.

Honestly, do yourself a favor Topkapi is pretty huge, so having a guide really makes a big difference. , our guide, was awesome: super knowledgeable, patient, and always happy to answer every question. For me, this was the best tour in Istanbul (my girlfriend says it’s number two), but we both give a solid 5/5!

The only downside was that the time given for the tour wasn’t really enough things felt a bit hurried near the end. He kindly stayed with us past the planned time, which we appreciated, but with how big and detailed Topkapi Palace is, it still didn’t feel like we had enough time to see it all properly.

If we could, we’d give six stars. the directory deep understanding not just of Ottoman history, but also European and Asian culture, really impressed us. He patiently answered every question and shared fascinating stories like why the Ottoman Empire had so few civil wars, the skill behind Ottoman archery, and the coffee versus tea culture in Istanbul today. Now we’re seriously thinking about trying one of his food tours too.
