From Istanbul: 2-Day Cappadocia Trip w/ Flight and Transfers

The tour guides were excellent, both on the English tour the first day and the Spanish tour the next day. Transportation was also first class, with punctual and comfortable vehicles. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and definitely worth doing. We were lucky with the weather, having two mostly sunny days. The balloon ride was incredible, and the timing was perfect since there were no flights the next day. Transportation to the location was seamless, and the airport transfers were well managed, although there was a bit of a wait at the airport. Our pick up was also about 30 minutes late. Tours usually start later than scheduled, but luckily the days weren't very long, so it wasn't a big deal. The hotel was nice, with comfortable rooms. I'm not entirely sure how authentic it is, as the caves don't feel very original. They had flat ceilings, electrical outlets, and lighting installed without visible wiring, so they must have changed the place quite a bit. I was also disappointed that lunch was served at the same large buffet location on both days, a location frequented by many tour operators. The luggage instructions provided were incorrect. Fantastic experience. This is definitely something you should do when visiting Turkey. It’s an excellent way to explore the area, and you’ll have plenty of time for a photo session with the hot air balloons on the morning of the second day. You can enjoy this either from a café or arrange for a driver to take you to the best spots.

Everything was perfect from start to finish. The guides were wonderful, attentive, and always ready to help with photography. Lunch was delicious, and the cave hotel was simple but comfortable. The only downside was the transfers; a text message confirming the pickup time would have been helpful. I realized my flight was approaching, and when they finally called, I was halfway to the airport, so I had to arrange a taxi myself.

The transfer from Istanbul was flawlessly organized and punctual. Things got a little tense when our flight was diverted to Nevşehir due to bad weather. I was initially apprehensive, but upon landing, everything was explained clearly within 10 minutes. They had arranged for us to be picked up in Nevşehir, and shortly thereafter, we were sent to join the tour, which had already begun. Our guide explained that this wasn't the first time flights had been diverted, so it made sense for them to handle the situation professionally. He was very knowledgeable and provided excellent information throughout the process. The accommodations were excellent. Staying in a cave hotel is a must when visiting Cappadocia. The transfer to Kayseri airport and then to our hotel in Istanbul was equally seamless. Overall, the organization was excellent, and thanks to their professionalism, I believe the package was well worth the cost.

The trip was enjoyable and truly memorable. Traveling with a family and young children was a bit challenging at times, but overall, everything went well. The cave hotel was truly magnificent, with a fantastic breakfast and very welcoming staff.

The experience was truly wonderful; everything was perfectly arranged so we could enjoy the many beautiful sights with peace of mind and without any worries. I should mention that we initially had a problem with the transfer from the hotel to the airport, and three different people contacted me to check on the situation and politely apologized. Since we had to arrange our own transportation, we were refunded even more than we had spent. The trip was generally well organized, but there are areas for improvement. For example, many passengers flying from Istanbul to Kayseri early in the morning don't have the opportunity to eat breakfast. Ideally, breakfast should be the first stop upon arrival, before the tour begins. However, in this case, the tour started immediately, and this could be improved for a better experience.
