Made, our guide, was fantastic and welcoming he even brought an ice-cold bottle of water. The temple tour was informative, explaining the different areas and their purposes. Watch out for the monkeys they’re fast and strong, often snatching anything they can, from cameras to glasses. Made was brilliant in helping retrieve stolen items and even assisted visitors without a guide, which alone makes having a guide highly recommended. The Kecak dance was spectacular, especially with the sunset as a backdrop. A purple sarong is required to enter the temple, but these are provided at the entrance if you don’t bring your own.

It was a really enjoyable tour to Uluwatu Temple and the coffee plantation. The coffee tasting was both fun and informative, with the option to purchase your favorite flavors to take home. Uluwatu Temple is fascinating and beautiful just watch out for the mischievous monkeys! The Kecak dance performance was entertaining and added a magical touch to the experience.

We started the tour at 3:30 PM. Our guide, I Ketut Suriana, was wonderful. Thanks to his previous experience as a monkey caretaker, he handled the monkeys expertly, allowing us to get close safely. He shared the history of the temple and welcomed our questions. Since we had booked a ticket for the dance, we were able to skip the line and, with his guidance, choose excellent seats in time for the performance.

What a fantastic guide! Made was friendly, kind, and very knowledgeable and even protected me from the monkeys! He gave a short tour of the temple, helped me skip the lines, and showed me to my seat for the dance. I’d mainly recommend this tour if you plan to watch the dance, as otherwise the visit might feel too brief. Thanks again, Made!

The area around this temple is beautiful, with stunning views! I wasn’t able to enter the temple myself due to being on my period, which I didn’t feel comfortable sharing, but I wanted to mention it to avoid bad karma. There are a lot of monkeys here, and they can be mischievous some grabbed glasses from visitors and even caused minor scratches. Be careful with your belongings. I stayed to watch the Kecak dance, which was quite interesting, though I found it a bit hard to follow even with the explanatory paper. Still, it was entertaining and worth seeing, and the performers engage quite a bit with the audience.

I really enjoyed my visit to Uluwatu. The temple is stunning, especially at sunset over the cliffs! My guide, Kadier, was punctual, friendly, and very patient while I had dinner. My only comment is that I would have liked to learn more about the temple’s history and Balinese culture, as Kadier didn’t provide much information or a tour.

The trip was really enjoyable! I hadn’t realized it included more than just the temple and the fire dance it also offered a chance to explore Uluwatu in greater detail. Our guide was fantastic, sharing lots of information and helping us understand the story of Rawa and Sinta. I would definitely book her again and make sure to explore Uluwatu more thoroughly next time.

The dance was interesting, but we arrived too late to tour the temple because of traffic (we left Kuta at 4:30pm and only made it in time for the 6pm sunset show). For what it included, it felt a bit expensive mainly the drive from the hotel to the temple with explanations along the way and entry to the show, but no temple visit. There weren’t any monkeys inside the theater, only around the temple grounds.

He spoke English very well and answered all our questions, also helping us take photos. I booked the tour starting at 03:30, which finished at 04:45, and we went straight to the dance area to secure the best spot for the sunset.

We traveled from Sanur to the cliffs and temple, which took about 90 minutes due to heavy traffic. I had booked the dance for 6 p.m., but my ticket was for 7 p.m., so I ended up waiting 2½ hours for it to start. The dance itself was fantastic. The tour is really only worth it if you plan to see the dance, as there isn’t enough to see along the way to justify the long journey otherwise.

The temple is nice, though not the most impressive in Bali. We left Ubud at 3pm and, because of traffic, only arrived after dark, so we couldn’t enjoy the views. Even though we had booked Kecak dance tickets, we missed the performance due to a mix up. Our guide was wonderful, arranged a refund for the dance, and did their best to make the time we had enjoyable. Overall, it’s worth doing, but I’d recommend going in the morning if you’re coming from Ubud.

A very engaging and classic Bali experience. The Kecak show is truly impressive and definitely worth seeing, along with the temple itself. The only drawback is that it isn’t really a guided tour as advertised you explore the temple on your own (watch your belongings around the monkeys) and the show is self guided too, so there’s no information or explanations provided.
