We had an amazing day exploring Nusa Penida and were very pleased with our driver, Deni. Our first stop was Kelingking Beach, which was absolutely stunning. Next, we visited the tree house, where Deni captured some wonderful photos of us. We then headed to a restaurant with breathtaking views. After that, we went to Diamond Beach, a truly spectacular spot and an absolute must see. Our final stop was Atuh Beach. Be aware that there are many steps to climb, so wearing good shoes is important. We highly recommend this tour and our guide.

The Nusa Penida trip was very well organized, and our guide, Jimmy, was extremely attentive. He shared a lot of information about the island, drove confidently, and took photos of us at the various locations, which is why I gave this rating. The three sites we visited are truly stunning, but at this time of year they are so crowded that it’s hard to enjoy them. Keep in mind that at least two-thirds of the day is spent traveling by car and ferry, and the beaches are filled with other tourists competing for the best photo, which can be inconsiderate at times. The restaurant where we had lunch was okay, but the value for money was not great and the service was lacking.

The car was air conditioned, which made the journey even more comfortable. The stops we visited were fantastic.Very touristy but still authentic. If I were to mention a minor drawback, it would be the lunch restaurant, which felt quite touristy with prices about twice the usual, though the food was still good. One suggestion would be to provide more information about the sites we visited or interesting local facts, as it would enhance the experience to know more about the places than even the locals. We had the area all to ourselves and could enjoy it at our own pace; however, it's worth noting that the descent was quite challenging! Then, we crossed over to Diamond Beach and headed back west. A huge thank you to our wonderful driver, Jimmy, who expertly navigated the island's chaotic roads. We appreciate his attentiveness, courtesy, and time spent taking videos and photos, which have created some wonderful memories. We also want to thank Roger for his friendly demeanor and patience while dealing with Ubud traffic. Besides the stunning scenery, it was our guides who truly made this experience unforgettable.

Overall, we found the tour quite enjoyable and, despite the short time allocated at each stop, provided a good introduction to the island. The shuttle picked us up from our hotel on time in the morning, and the first driver was very courteous, ensuring we reached the ferry on time, and a company employee assisted us with boarding. Road conditions on Nusa Penida were much worse than expected. Unfortunately, our guide and driver drove aggressively, constantly making dangerous overtaking maneuvers to gain the minimum advantage. On one occasion, he attempted a shortcut by recklessly driving up a mountain road, but ended up right behind the vehicle we had been following. The island hosts a large number of visitors daily, causing significant traffic congestion. During lunch, there was an incident where our driver physically maneuvered his vehicle to push another vehicle out of his way, which was completely unacceptable.

Our driver, who served as a porter rather than a guide, was incredibly kind, and the sites we visited were beautiful, with one beach in particular being breathtaking. However, about 75 percent of the day was spent in transportation. This left little time to explore or immerse ourselves; from the start, the pace felt constantly rushed, and this feeling was exacerbated by a pickup an hour later than the night before. Our last hour at the beach felt like a rare luxury I didn't get by visiting the treehouse. So, if your main goal is to take photos and create content for social media, this tour delivers with its stunning views and photogenic spots. However, if you prefer to truly absorb the atmosphere of a place, I'm not sure the beautiful sights we saw are worth a day spent mostly in a vehicle or boat.

The day was exceptionally long, and while we did see some truly beautiful sights, the experience felt rushed due to an extremely tight schedule. Traveling around the island takes a considerable amount of time because of the considerable distances and the very poor road conditions. Unfortunately, we did not have enough time to descend to Diamond Beach for a proper visit, nor did we reach the tree house, as the itinerary was simply too compressed. It might have been better to take an earlier morning ferry or a later afternoon departure to allow for more time at each location, since our stops were very brief and the sites were also quite crowded.

Our guide was extremely kind and provided a comfortable vehicle for the trip. However, the road conditions were extremely challenging: narrow, poorly maintained, and with intense elevation changes that resembled a roller coaster. The long distances between destinations meant we spent most of our trip driving. However, the views at each point were truly beautiful and rewarding.

Our two drivers and guides, Ngurah and Wayan, were absolutely fantastic: incredibly friendly, supportive, and truly saved a difficult day. However, the speedboat transfer was disconcerting; it was over forty minutes late in both directions. The roads were terrible, worse than anything we'd encountered in Bali. Everywhere was overcrowded, and visitors were vying for Instagram photos. There are much more pleasant and less crowded places in Bali; I recommend looking beyond the popular ads.

To be honest, the experience didn't meet my expectations. It felt like a tour designed solely for social media. We spent the entire day driving to photo-friendly locations and enduring long lines to take photos. We missed our only planned activity, a swim at the beach, because we waited almost an hour in the treehouse. The lunch at the restaurant was disappointing. Our guide, Lopez, was very pleasant, but his role was limited to taking photos and driving; he didn't share any meaningful information about the places we visited, other than mentioning the number of tourist deaths there. Nusa Penida is undoubtedly a magnificent island that deserves to be explored, but I believe this tour is misrepresented. Frankly, it should be marketed as an Instagram-focused tour. If you're looking for a more meaningful experience than visiting places just for the sake of taking photos, this isn't the right choice.

I wouldn't choose to repeat this experience. The natural landscapes and cliffs on Nusa Penida were truly breathtaking, but the roads were in terrible condition, pothole-ridden and poorly maintained. Our guide, Tut Dar, had significant difficulty communicating in English, which unfortunately meant we couldn't get any informative commentary on the sites we visited. The tour felt rushed, zipping from one place to the next, taking a quick photo, and then heading back on our way. The journey took fourteen hours in total, more than half of which was spent by car or speedboat. The island was also overcrowded with tourists, further exacerbating the fatigue. By the end of the day, I was completely exhausted and eager to rest.

The island is very beautiful, and our driver, Iogi, was an excellent guide. Being a local from Nusa Penida, he shared a lot of information about the island. Personally, I don’t think the island is quite ready for large numbers of tourists yet, as the roads are extremely bumpy, even though we had been warned. I would recommend taking this tour only if you are staying in Bali for two weeks or more.
