We booked the tour on a rainy day, and our guide Hal was flexible enough to suggest postponing it to the next day when the weather was expected to improve. That was a great decision. The meeting point was easy to find, and the coordination was smooth (even though we were late, which was our fault). The boat ride used the public commuter ferry system, and on a sunny day, it’s a wonderful way to experience the Bosphorus with beautiful views of Karakoy, Sultanahmet, and later Kadikoy. Walking with Hal made us feel like part of the local community. It was a great way to gain confidence exploring some of Istanbul’s lesser known areas.

Great tour Emre shared so much about Istanbul’s history and culture. Kadikoy is truly special.

The tour was good and the guide was informative, but the constant pressure from sellers along the way made it less enjoyable. It felt a bit like a money trap at times.

Kadikoy is interesting, but the aggressive shopkeepers were a bit overwhelming. The tour itself was fine but sometimes felt more like a sales pitch than a genuine experience.

The tour was okay, and the guide was knowledgeable, but there were lots of stops where sellers made you want to buy things. It got a bit repetitive and felt like a money trap at times.

The tour gave good insight into Kadikoy, but the constant exposure to sellers and their products made it feel like a subtle money trap. Still worth doing but be prepared!

Kadikoy is a nice area, but the sellers kept showing us items and making you want to buy something everywhere we went. The tour was fine, but it felt more like a shopping stroll than a cultural experience.

The tour mostly highlighted food spots with only minimal information about the Asian side. I had hoped for a deeper dive into the history and cultural sites, but that was lacking.

Our guide focused mainly on where to eat and gave only brief details about the area. I was expecting more about the historical and cultural significance of the Asian side of Istanbul.
