We had a great experience with our guide Tarik, who was very friendly and welcoming. He made us comfortable and drove us around Sarajevo, sharing interesting stories about the city’s historical sites. His knowledge of Bosnia’s history was impressive, especially when he connected a war hero to the inspiration for a James Bond character, which we found fascinating. As it was a private tour, he was patient and tailored the trip to our needs. Overall, he did an excellent job showing Bosnia’s culture, and I highly recommend him.

We started the tour at the Yellow Fortress, which provides a beautiful view of Sarajevo. Next, we took the cable car to Olympic Mountain, where the old bobsleigh track is located. Sarajevo is an ancient city with a blend of cultures, reflected in its mix of Ottoman and European architecture. We also visited the place where World War I began with the assassination of Franz Ferdinand. The final stop was the Eternal Flame, a memorial for the victims of World War II. The trip was informative, and I learned a lot.
