Halil from Excursions Mania provided excellent customer service and comes highly recommended. He arranged an amazing Cappadocia balloon ride for us at a very reasonable price, about 169 euros per person. We paid a deposit in advance and settled the remaining balance in Turkish Lira directly to the company staff at the hotel.

We were picked up from our hotel at 5:15 AM and had the chance to watch the balloons being inflated with hot air. There were many balloons ascending that morning. The basket we were in was sectioned into four compartments plus a separate space for the pilot. With 15 passengers onboard, there was plenty of room for everyone. Before we took off, we were given safety instructions and guidance on what to do during landing. Our balloon was one of the quickest to lift off. Some other balloons struggled to get airborne, and a few drifted off course. It was impressive to see so many balloons up in the sky. My favorite moment was flying over Pamukkale and admiring the stunning terrace pools filled with blue water, along with watching the sunrise.

The flight itself was thrilling, with a smooth ascent and landing thanks to our skilled pilot. We reached out to them online and handled all the arrangements through WhatsApp. Acelya was very helpful throughout our conversations, organizing the booking and transportation, and patiently answering all our questions about the trip. We traveled with our two daughters, aged 8 and 11, and everything went smoothly from the private hotel pickup to the friendly, cheerful, yet professional staff at the balloon site. We felt completely safe and thoroughly enjoyed the flight. There was a small coffee stand before the ride, which was a nice touch since it started early in the morning and I needed my coffee.

It was a one of a kind experience. We attempted to take a balloon ride in Cappadocia twice, but due to bad weather, it didn’t work out. So, we decided to try again in Pamukkale, and I’m glad we did because the views of Hierapolis are truly special. You get to see the cotton castle, the amphitheater, the ancient ruins, and the surrounding fields. The team is very professional and fully certified, ensuring a completely safe journey. The price is also much more affordable compared to Cappadocia. I definitely plan to return someday.
