The driver arrived right on time and took us to the launch location where we were guided to our balloon. After roughly 15 minutes of inflation, we boarded and took off. Our experience was excellent from beginning to end. We received a WhatsApp message the evening before with all the necessary information. The pick-up was punctual, and when we arrived, the hot air balloon was almost ready for takeoff. We ascended to about 1,500 feet and enjoyed views of the Pamukkale Thermal Pools, Hierapolis, the amphitheater, as well as various landscapes and other balloons floating nearby. The flight lasted around 45 minutes, which felt like ample time. Overall, it was a fantastic trip. I would have preferred actual alcohol at the celebration afterward, but it was just some sweet sparkling juice. I would definitely recommend this experience.

The planning was really disappointing. We initially purchased the trip expecting a 5:30 am departure, but the night before, they informed us it would be delayed until 7:20 am. Communication with the operator was lacking, and they seemed indifferent about adjusting our schedule. While the flight itself and the balloon equipment were excellent, the organization and administration left much to be desired.

One of the top attractions in Turkey is taking a hot air balloon ride. We originally planned to fly in Cappadocia, but the ride was canceled due to poor weather. We then chose to try Pamukkale instead, and it turned out to be the best choice. From the moment we were picked up at our hotel until the end, the entire experience went smoothly, and we truly enjoyed the trip. They sent a message confirming the pickup time at 7:20 am, and the van arrived right on schedule. Around 7:50 am, we lifted off and were treated to breathtaking views. We booked through ExcursionMania for €70. The sunrise balloon ride was amazing, with 14 of us split into four baskets. The van was a bit late, but seeing the balloons inflate was great. The small drink and flight certificate were nice extras. Our hotel, Aspawa, offered the same ride for €40, so if you’re in Pamukkale, check local prices first. No regrets, but the hotel option might be better value.
