Is Marmaris good for nightlife

Is Marmaris good for nightlife?

Marmaris is the place to be if you’re looking for vibrant nightlife, you can party all night long every night if you choose. From pubs and clubs to Turkish taverns, moonlit walks along the beach, lazer shows and all night foam parties, Marmaris is a great place for nightlife.

Uzunyalı (Long Beach)

Uzunyalı, otherwise known as Long Beach, lives up to its name with around 10 km of promenade alongside sandy beaches lined with numerous restaurants, cafes, karaoke bars, pubs and nightclubs. The picturesque coastline joins Marmaris Urban Beach, stretching all the way to İçmeler.

The balmy summer nights are filled with music, laser lights and the cheerful chatter of party-goers. There are all kinds of Western style venues but if you want to see a bit of Turkish culture, go to a ‘meyhane’, a sort of tavern, to try the local drinks like rakı (a strong, aniseed flavoured alcoholic drink) or şalgam (a fermented drink made with purple carrots) along with the traditional Turkish side dishes.

To get away from the noise for a while, have a stroll along the beach and enjoy the sea breeze.

Marmaris Bar Street

Next to the marina is the aptly named Marmaris Bar Street where you can continue to have fun until the venues finally close at 5am. This location is the epicentre of nightlife in Marmaris and draws huge crowds in high season. Soak up the atmosphere and dance to the live music, pop, techno, reggae, rock and Turkish music and enjoy the laser shows, dancers and foam parties. There are lots of taxis at the end of the street waiting to take you back to your hotel.

Club Arena, Backstreet Disco, Rock Bar, Bar-X Cocktail & Dance Bar, Crazy Daisy Bar & Nightclub are among the most popular bars and nightclubs in the area.

Shows in Marmaris

The Cheers Bar is a nightclub where you can have a laugh watching the well-known, spectacular Cabaret Show from Tuesday-Sunday starting at 7pm and ending at midnight. It also has two large TVs showing sports.

Why not have an authentic Turkish experience with live Turkish music, folklore and belly dancing, whirling dervishes etc. and taste the local ‘meze’s (starters), barbecue and free local alcoholic and soft drinks. Most hotels in Marmaris have Turkish Nights or you can go to one of the special places where there are shows, such as Kervansaray.
