Overview

The Cappadocia tour from Kemer offers an immersive journey into one of Turkey’s most fascinating regions. Upon arrival in Cappadocia, the tour begins with a visit to Göreme, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The region is known for its stunning rock-hewn churches and the surreal fairy chimneys—towering stone formations sculpted over centuries by volcanic activity and wind. These unique formations create a landscape like no other, often compared to a scene out of a dream.

A visit to Göreme Open Air Museum allows guests to explore ancient rock-cut churches and chapels, many adorned with beautiful Byzantine frescoes that tell stories of early Christianity. These preserved sites offer a fascinating look into the lives of the people who once lived here, adding historical depth to the natural beauty of the landscape. The sight of the frescoes and their vibrant colors against the backdrop of the rocks is a photographer’s paradise.

Next, the tour moves on to Pasabag Valley, where you’ll see the famous fairy chimneys up close. The region is known for its mushroom-shaped rock formations, many of which are hollowed out and used as dwellings. The natural beauty of the valley, combined with the historical significance, makes this a highlight of the trip. Explore the valley’s tranquil atmosphere and learn about the traditional ways the locals lived in these rock formations.

During the second day, the experience continues with a visit to Derinkuyu Underground City, an ancient subterranean city built by early Christians to escape persecution. Explore the narrow tunnels and rooms, which were carved deep into the earth, providing shelter for entire communities. It’s an awe-inspiring visit that takes you beneath the surface of Cappadocia, revealing a side of the region that most visitors never see.

A visit to Uchisar Castle, the highest point in Cappadocia, offers sweeping views of the entire region. From the top, you can gaze out over the valleys, fairy chimneys, and vineyards below. The castle itself is a fascinating site, with tunnels, rooms, and even a hidden chapel carved directly into the rock.

A highlight of the tour is the hot air balloon ride (optional, extra fee), which gives you a bird’s-eye view of Cappadocia’s otherworldly landscape. Floating above the fairy chimneys and valleys at sunrise offers a unique perspective of the region’s natural beauty, creating unforgettable memories.

To complete your Cappadocia experience, the tour includes a stay in a cave hotel, where you can experience the unique way of life in these ancient dwellings. The cave hotels are modern and comfortable, yet retain the charm of their historic surroundings, providing a memorable place to rest after a day of exploration.

After two days filled with adventure and discovery, you’ll return to Kemer with new knowledge, breathtaking photos, and unforgettable memories from your time in Cappadocia.

It's a great option for the price, including stunning views. However, the balloon viewing experience was available for an additional fee or as part of some combo packages. Prices can vary considerably, so I recommend booking ahead of time. Sometimes you can even find better deals if you book independently.

Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable; he'd clearly been a tour guide for years. The driver was very friendly, and they made a great team. The tour itself was fantastic, with breathtaking views and an overall reasonable price. The included meals and optional extras were quite good, although lunch on the last day wasn't as impressive as the day before. The cave hotel was a unique experience. Dinner was average, and while the room was nice, it was a bit noisy at night, making it difficult to sleep before our 4 a.m. hot air balloon ride. I have severe allergies, and unfortunately, staying in the cave room triggered them; something to keep in mind if you're sensitive like me.

It was a truly enjoyable experience. We were picked up directly from our hotel, and the two-day trip was perfect. Burak, the trip coordinator, spoke Norwegian and was always helpful and cheerful. The hot air balloon ride was incredible, and the Turkish Night show was also fantastic. Transportation throughout the trip was very well organized. I highly recommend this tour. Burak did a fantastic job managing everything.

The experience was incredible. The two-day trip was so well-planned. A huge thank you to our guide; it was truly amazing. If you're unsure about the long bus ride, don't worry; it's totally worth it. Watching the balloons rise from the panoramic viewpoint gave me goosebumps; it truly was like something out of a fairy tale

The trip was enjoyable, but I felt that during the free lunches we should have had the option to choose our own places to eat rather than being limited to the company’s selected venues. Both the guide and the driver were very good.

The location was beautiful, and Mete did an excellent job as our guide. The tour could easily have been five stars if the organization had been smoother. Including breaks, we spent nearly nine hours on the bus before arriving at our first stop in Cappadocia. We were also initially taken to the wrong hotel. After dinner, we were transferred to our cave hotel. Our room resembled a castle room and didn't have the cave feel we were hoping for. It was nice, but not what we had imagined. Breakfast was scheduled to be served after the tour, but no one knew where or when. When we inquired, a hotel staff member kindly guided us to the restaurant. It would have been very helpful to have a phone number to call for details.

My wife and I booked this Cappadocia tour from Kemer, and it exceeded all our expectations. The Göreme Open Air Museum was breathtaking; the frescoes were so well preserved that our guide brought history to life. The underground city was mind blowing. Staying in a cave hotel was the perfect end to each day; it was romantic and unique. The optional hot air balloon ride was worth every penny. I highly recommend it to couples looking for adventure and culture.

As a solo traveler, I was hesitant about joining a group tour, but this one was fantastic. The itinerary was well paced, and I met some great people along the way. Pasabag Valley was surreal like walking through a fantasy world. The underground city was unlike anything I’ve ever seen. The guide was knowledgeable and made sure everyone felt included. If you're traveling alone and want to explore Cappadocia without the hassle, this is the way to go.

We traveled with our two children, and this tour was perfect for our family. The fairy chimneys fascinated them, and they loved exploring the tunnels at Derinkuyu. The cave hotel was a huge hit; it felt like they were in a real life adventure movie. The balloon tour was optional, but we all did it, and it was the highlight of our trip to Turkey. The guides were patient and very kind to the families. I highly recommend it to parents looking for an educational and fun experience.

Three of us friends booked this tour, and it was the best decision. Cappadocia is even more incredible in person. Uchisar Castle had the best views, and the underground city was mind bending. The cave hotel was cozy, and the local food we tried was delicious. The hot air balloon ride was worth waking up early for unreal scenery. If you’re traveling with friends and want a mix of adventure and culture, don’t miss this tour.

I'm a history lover, and this tour was a dream. The Göreme frescoes were breathtaking, and learning about the early Christian communities in Cappadocia was fascinating. The underground city was the most impressive part; I had no idea how advanced ancient engineering was. Our guide was very attentive and answered all my questions. The cave hotel added to the authenticity of the experience. This is a must see for anyone interested in history and unique landscapes.

As a photographer, Cappadocia was on my bucket list, and this tour didn’t disappoint. Every stop Göreme, Pasabag, Uchisar was a new opportunity for incredible shots. The light at sunrise during the balloon ride was magical. The guide understood the best angles and gave us enough time to capture the beauty. Even the cave hotel had great photo spots. If you love travel photography, book this tour you won’t regret it.

The Cappadocia tour offered some truly amazing moments; the underground city was fascinating, and the views from Uchisar Castle were breathtaking. However, as a solo traveler, I found the pace a bit too fast at times. We only spent 30 minutes at the Göreme Open Air Museum, which wasn't enough time to fully appreciate the frescoes. The cave hotel was charming, but my room was quite small. The tour guide was knowledgeable but often seemed preoccupied with managing large groups. The optional balloon ride was great but very expensive I wish I had mentioned this more clearly when booking. Overall, it was good, but could have been better organized.

We enjoyed seeing the unique sights of Cappadocia with our two young sons. The fairy chimneys were incredible, and the children loved exploring the underground city. However, the tour description didn't specify how much walking we'd have to do, and some of the older travelers in our group struggled. The cave hotel is new but quite basic, and the included meals were average. Our guide was friendly but sometimes difficult to understand. While we were happy to see Cappadocia, we expected better value for the price we paid. It was okay, but not exceptional.

This was my first time in Turkey, and the Cappadocia tour was the highlight of my trip. The landscapes were unlike anything I’d ever seen like another planet! The tour was well organized, and the guide made everything easy to understand. Perfect for first timers wanting a mix of adventure and culture.

My husband and I had a very good experience on this Cappadocia tour. The landscapes were absolutely stunning Göreme and Pasabag Valley felt like something from another planet. The underground city was fascinating, though a bit claustrophobic at times. Our guide was knowledgeable and made the history come alive. The cave hotel was charming, though the room was a little smaller than we expected. The included meals were decent, but we wished there had been more local cuisine options. The hot air balloon ride was incredible but it’s definitely pricey just be prepared for that extra cost.Overall, we really enjoyed the trip and would recommend it, though a few small improvements would have made it perfect. Still, a great way to see Cappadocia’s highlights without the hassle of planning everything ourselves.

I had high hopes for this Cappadocia tour, but unfortunately, it fell short in a few areas. While the views were undeniably stunning, the tour execution was less than perfect. Our group was crammed into a minibus with barely any legroom, and the long journey from Kemer was tiring with few breaks for comfort. The guide rushed us through the entire place; we spent more time getting on and off the bus than exploring. At the Göreme Open Air Museum, we were only given 20 minutes to see everything, which is ridiculous for a UNESCO site. Cappadocia is magical in its own right, but this tour felt like a rushed, budget friendly experience sold at an exorbitant price. I recommend paying more for a higher quality tour or planning the trip independently.
