Visit Bodrum from the greek island Kos

You don’t need a holiday in Turkey to visit Bodrum. If you are on holiday in Kos, you can easily go from this Greek island to Bodrum for a day. By boat you sail within an hour from Kos Town to Bodrum. There are several providers that offer this crossing. The prices and travel times can vary a bit. What they have in common, is that you have about six to seven hours to spend in Bodrum. That is enough to get a good impression of the city.

Bazaars, markets and malls in Bodrum

There are several places to go to if you want to do some shopping during your holiday in Bodrum. In the town of Ortakent is the Midtown Mall. Here they have shops of the big chains such as H&M. Handy if you forgot your bikini or you just want to have fun on a rainy day, but you won’t find anything else you don’t have at home.
It’s more fun to go to one of the local markets. There is a market in Jalikavak a few times a week and in the high season there is also a regular evening market. Check in advance when the market is exactly, because this changes. One of the best bazaars can be found in the town of Turgutreis.

Boat trip with a traditional Turkish Gulut in Bodrum

Almost everybody loves going on a boat trip. Relaxing on deck, swimming in crystal clear water and enjoying the beautiful nature. Many of the most beautiful beaches you visit can only be reached by boat. During a boat trip the cook prepares a delicious lunch for you on the grill.

As a conclusion depending on what you want to do in Bodrum minimum a week holiday is recommended. But if you can get 2 weeks, it is the best.
