I really enjoyed the day trip to Pamukkale the white travertines and warm thermal pools were even more beautiful in real life than I had expected. The ancient theatre was definitely the highlight. What truly made the experience stand out was our guide, Kaan. He was friendly, well informed, and paid attention to everyone in the group. The experience was wonderful. Before reaching Pamukkale, we stopped at an Onyx workshop where we got to see the raw materials and browse the shop a truly interesting and visually impressive visit. Pamukkale itself is a stunning place with well-maintained facilities. The meal included in the tour was a buffet not very extensive, so options were limited, but overall it was decent. Drinks were paid separately. Our guide, Apo, was attentive throughout the day, sharing fascinating information with a great sense of humor. He was always warm and approachable, which made the tour even more enjoyable. Although the trip from Antalya takes around three hours each way, it’s absolutely worth it. I highly recommend this tour if you’re in the area.

It’s unfortunate that we only had around three hours in Pamukkale, as the place is truly beautiful well maintained and absolutely worth seeing. The included lunch was okay, though it felt a bit basic and lacked care. After the meal, there was also a chance to purchase souvenirs like onyx items. There were plenty of restroom breaks along the way, and all the facilities were very clean. It might have been more enjoyable if there had been a stop at a notable landmark on the journey. In the end, the day consisted of about 5 hours of driving each way, 3 hours in Pamukkale, and 1 hour for lunch and shopping.

The trip got off to a rough start—we were told pickup would be at 4:10 AM, but after waiting and calling the company myself at 4:25, I was informed the van was running late and would arrive around 4:50. Eventually, at 5:00 AM, we were told the van had issues, and we needed to take a taxi to a meeting point. Thankfully, they reimbursed the fare, but as a large tour provider, I expected a backup plan rather than being asked to arrange our own transport at 5 AM. That said, the tour itself was very enjoyable, and Kaan was an excellent guide. He was organized, friendly, and kept everything running smoothly. He also personally followed up to make sure I was reimbursed for the taxi. While I wasn’t too impressed with the tour company’s communication, I really appreciated Kaan’s professionalism and dedication.

The early morning start was made much smoother thanks to Kaan, our tour guide, who was efficient and well-organized with the pickup process. We had a breakfast stop (not included in the tour price) with some nice pastries, which was a pleasant break. There was also a visit to a zultanite shop, though it felt more like a sales presentation and wasn’t particularly worthwhile. Pamukkale itself was beautiful, though it was quite crowded. We considered swimming in the Cleopatra pool but decided against it since it required an extra fee and didn’t look very clean. Despite those small downsides, Kaan really made the day enjoyable. We enjoyed the limestone pools the most, though they were quite slippery, so I’d recommend wearing water shoes for safety. The archaeological museum was brief and not really to my taste. We had hoped to see the theatre, but it was too hot and quite a distance away. The Cleopatra pool seemed overpriced, with dirty water, and required an extra €10 entry fee, so we chose not to swim there. Lunch was served at a place that didn’t suit everyone; much of the food was bland, and some even seemed off. Additionally, the stop for a ‘presentation’ felt mostly like a sales pitch and, in my opinion, wasted about half an hour that could have been better spent exploring the theatre.

It was really hot, and the bus ride especially on the way back was rough. The air conditioning barely worked, and the seats were old and not very comfortable, which made the long trip pretty unpleasant. To make things worse, the bus got switched at a gas station without any heads-up, which was a bit confusing. After lunch, the return trip ended up taking five full hours. First, we were on one bus, then we got moved into a smaller van that dropped people off at their hotels one by one. The last few of us three couples were only dropped off at the end, near the McDonald's by the old town. We left around 3 PM after lunch and didn’t get back until 8 PM. By then, we were completely wiped out. Honestly, we wouldn’t book this tour again if it’s run the same way. Definitely not.

The transport was split into two parts. First, we got a ride from the hotel to a meeting spot, then from there we headed to the main destination. Both trips, including the return, were comfortable. We made a couple of stops along the way for breakfast since we left early at 4 am, then for toilets, snacks, and an ATM if needed. Instead of visiting the usual winery, we stopped at an onyx shop because the winery had unfortunately burned down. Our guide Apo was really nice and handled a difficult passenger very well—at least, that’s how I saw it. That definitely deserves a five-star rating! Pamukkale and Hierapolis were stunning. We had plenty of free time to explore and swim if we wanted. The lunch was delicious too. Overall, I’d totally recommend this tour. Just keep in mind that entrance fees aren’t included, but I think the price is fair. It was a fantastic day out, even if it was a bit tiring.

The first small bus was packed, and the seats were freezing cold. Once we switched to the bigger bus and met our guide Apo, everything was just right. This was the best trip we’ve taken in Turkey, thanks to such a friendly and knowledgeable guide. I can’t say enough good things about Apo and the stunning Pamukkale!

I couldn’t have hoped for a better tour. At first, we were a bit nervous about the early start waking up at 3 am and walking to the meeting point since our hotel was in the old town. But the bus was really comfy, and our group was pretty small, around 20 people, so everyone got to sit with their partners or friends. They even encouraged us to take naps along the way. The stops were just right, and the trip seemed to go by quickly. Pamukkale itself was stunning, truly breathtaking. Lunch was fantastic with a huge variety of options. As a vegan, I wasn’t expecting much, but honestly, it was the best food I had all holiday! I’d recommend bringing some snacks for breakfast if you’re vegan, though I’m sure if I hadn’t, someone would have helped me find something. Apo was an excellent guide, and the driver—Severim, I think? Sorry if I got the name wrong—did a great job on the roads. They seemed to work really well together, which was nice to see. There wasn’t any wine tasting like mentioned before, and the stops were mostly at service stations or restaurants, perfect for bathroom breaks and refreshments.

The views of the Travertine terraces are truly breathtaking and one of a kind. But just a heads-up—this definitely isn’t a small group tour. It’s a big bus tour with around 50 people or even more. We were told to meet at 4:30 am, but the van driver didn’t show up until 5 am. Then he parked the van and disappeared for about 20 minutes. No idea where he went or what he was doing. After that, we were taken to a parking lot where a large bus was waiting. The bus was almost full, and some couples couldn’t even sit together. The seating situation was pretty chaotic. Overall, the way the tour was managed was really disappointing. On the plus side, the guide was friendly. A few people were late getting on the bus, and the guide told them to catch an Uber to the next stop. As for the wine tasting—don’t expect much. It was a cramped group of over 50 people squeezed into a small, dirty room with just a tiny sip of wine to taste. Honestly, it was quite unpleasant. I booked this thinking it would be a small group tour, so I’m pretty let down.
