The charming town of Marmaris is located on the south-western coast of Turkey, right in the heart where the Mediterranean Sea and the Aegean Sea meet. The city of Marmaris is located in a bay on the Mediterranean coast. On a clear day, you can see the Greek island of Rhodes on the other side of the sea.

Lycian Coast – Ancient Lycia

The South Aegean coast of Turkey is also called Lycian Coast. Places like Marmaris are covered with different shades of green and are characterized by many beautiful bays, some of which have become famous seaside resorts in a very short time. The summer months start in April and last until October. This means that half of the year the summer is warm with average temperatures from 25 degrees Celsius. In the preseason the average maximum temperature is between 20 and 25 degrees Celsius. In the high season in July and August, the average maximum temperature is more than 40 degrees and in the low season in September and October, the average maximum temperature is between 25 and 30 degrees.
