Overview

Embark on an enjoyable small‑group walking adventure through the heart of Prague, starting at Křižovnické Square near the iconic Charles Bridge. Your local guide—waving an orange umbrella—leads you through cobbled lanes and historic squares, blending fascinating stories of Czech brewing and culture with a lively evening of beer tasting.
Inside at three distinctive pubs, you’ll enjoy one free drink per venue, each offering its own atmosphere—from centuries‑old taverns to cozy modern brew‑houses—perfectly capturing Prague’s vibrant spirits scene.
Between refreshment stops, a traditional Czech dinner is served at a welcoming local restaurant: think classic svíčková, roast pork with dumplings, or vegetarian options on request—each paired with the perfect beer.
Throughout the three‑hour experience, your guide shares the colorful history of Czech brewing, local drinking etiquette, and insider tips for the rest of your stay—making the evening both educational and decidedly fun.

Our guide, Judith, was exceptional. In addition to learning about Prague, we also learned a great deal about the history of beer making. The beer tastings were wonderful and offered us an authentic Czech hospitality experience. Notably, we were the only people on this tour, and a dedicated guide accompanied us for three hours, patiently answering all our questions, even those not related to beer. Overall, it was an unforgettable evening we will remember for a long time.

It was enjoyable to discover more about Czech beers and have the opportunity to taste them. I would have liked to try a few small servings of different varieties. Drinking half a liter of just one variety at a time seemed like too much considering the wide selection. Combined with a hearty meal, this was plenty. Overall, though, we had an enjoyable evening.

Olga was fantastic. Along the way, she shared her history as well as tips on modern life in Prague. She took group photos and kept the conversation lively. We visited three different pubs, and at each one, we were able to choose our own beer, always served in half-liter glasses. We were expecting a different experience from this beer tour. We thought each bar would offer a unique beer, along with interesting stories or special perspectives, as promised. While it wasn't exactly that, it was a pleasant opportunity to meet new people and enjoy a relaxed, unpretentious dinner. Essentially, this tour was like visiting three bars with others, sharing drinks, chatting, and sharing a meal. While the guide simply announced two Czech dishes and asked who wanted to order, you could easily choose from the menu and do it on your own. We booked a private tour for four people. Our guide arrived at our hotel right on time, and we headed into the old town. Our first stop was a restaurant for a beer, then we moved on to the second, non pub, place. There, we had a beer and some cold food. There, we didn't order from the à la carte menu; there was a special menu designed just for tour groups. Then, we went to the third pub for a beer. We eventually learned that almost one in three buildings in Prague was once a pub, that Pilsner Urquell was the standard beer, that Czechs love to drink, and that beer brewing has been a tradition in Bohemia for over a thousand years. I was expecting something different from a pub tour.

The beer was okay, but the food was small, sometimes served cold, and overall, it was average. Our guide was friendly and shared helpful information.

The tour was okay overall. The beer was good and the food was tasty. However, while it was accurate to the description, it wasn't exactly what we had imagined. We did learn a few things about the city along the way.
