We chose to book this cooking class while staying in Siem Reap, and it absolutely exceeded our expectations. Sky and his team were fantastic excellent instructors who guided us through preparing our own individual dishes. My partner and I often take cooking classes while traveling, and we've attended several in different countries. This one stands out as one of the best! We especially appreciated being able to choose different dishes from the menu, rather than having everyone cook the same thing. This was perfect for my partner, who is vegetarian, and he was really well accommodated. The visit to the local food market at the beginning was eye opening and gave us great insight into traditional Cambodian ingredients before the cooking began. The entire team was knowledgeable, welcoming, and had a great sense of humor. They even took photos throughout the class and sent them along with the recipes via WhatsApp afterward. If you're in Siem Reap, I can’t recommend this class enough it’s an experience you shouldn’t miss!

They also offered a full vegetarian menu, which was very thoughtful. Sky and his team were fantastic, and King Kong was a fun and informative guide as he showed us around the local market. The setting was incredibly peaceful tucked away in a lovely spot surrounded by trees. A truly special experience!

My friend and I really enjoy cooking, so we decided to join a class led by Sorya, who was fantastic! She gave us a menu that allowed each of us to pick four dishes, and she managed to keep everything organized and balanced across all the different meals everyone was preparing. We made beef salad, cashew chicken, vegetable tempura, curry, and fish Amok (a traditional Cambodian dish), among others all of which were absolutely tasty. I also brought my one year old to the class, and the entire team was incredibly friendly, even taking turns entertaining him while I focused on cooking. It was a wonderful opportunity to learn how to prepare several dishes from the Khmer kitchen. We began with a visit to the local market where the ingredients used in Khmer cooking were introduced. Then, we headed to the kitchen where each of us selected four dishes to prepare one appetizer, two main courses, and one dessert. The instructions were clear, and alternatives were suggested when certain ingredients were unavailable. The guidance was tailored to each participant, including a few words in French for some of us. The chef’s teaching style and sense of humor made the experience very enjoyable. The class concluded with a tasting session of the dishes we made. I hadn’t initially planned on doing this experience since I had already taken a cooking class in another country and didn’t think it was necessary. However, I’m really glad I had some free time today and decided to join because I was completely wrong. This class was very different from the one I did before because the cuisine is unique. The family home where the class took place is beautiful and made for a lovely setting. All the ingredients were incredibly fresh, and it was wonderful to see everything growing right in the garden. The instructions were clear, and the food tasted fantastic. I’m amazed at how Sorya managed to explain so many different dishes to all of us at once! Honestly, the amok I cooked here was even better than what I’d had at local restaurants. We prepared just the right amount of food, leaving us perfectly satisfied. I’ve done similar classes with other companies where the portions were too large and resulted in a lot of waste, but here they’ve found the perfect balance. Having fresh, cold water available throughout was a nice touch.Thank you so much for this memorable experience. I’m really happy I got to participate.

He took us on a brief tour of a small fresh market selling everything from fish and vegetables to meat and snacks. Then we headed to the kitchen where the cooking took place clean tables and prewashed veggies were ready. I made fried rice, fish amok, beef salad, and for dessert, a banana with sago dish (the name slips my mind). Everything tasted amazing though maybe I was just really hungry! My only suggestion would be to have better lighting at the cooking station. King Kong was an excellent teacher, with easy to understand English. I joined the 12:30pm Khmer cooking class on a Thursday and it quickly became one of the most unforgettable parts of my trip! Sky, one of the instructors, was extremely helpful and friendly. He gave me a tour of their lovely garden and introduced me to all the herbs, vegetables, and ingredients we would use. I chose to make mango salad with dried shrimp, fish amok, pineapple fried rice, and banana with coconut milk and every dish was delicious. The chefs were patient, thorough, and even suggested ingredient substitutions I could try at home. When a heavy rainstorm hit during my meal, they kept checking to make sure I was comfortable. This cooking class was incredible from beginning to end. I was picked up right on time the driver even sent me a WhatsApp message beforehand to confirm when to be ready, and he arrived exactly as planned. The 10–15 minute ride in the remorque from my hotel gave me a chance to see a beautiful side of Siem Reap I hadn’t explored before. We arrived near the large local market, Psar Po Banteaychey (also known as Psar Krom). I was guided by Soriya, who walked me through the market and explained the various types of fish, vegetables, and the market’s opening hours. Even though I speak and understand Khmer, I was impressed by her excellent English and warm, welcoming personality her smile immediately made me feel at home. After the market, we went to the cooking class venue, set under a charming traditional house. Soriya showed me their garden, filled with fruit trees and herbs, which was delightful. I then chose the dishes I wanted to cook and started the session with Sivonne, who was fantastic friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. I particularly appreciated how she explained the reasoning behind certain cooking steps, like why garlic is added at the end for some dishes. Finally, I got to enjoy the dishes I had prepared, and they were absolutely delicious. The experience was both fun and deeply rewarding. Even though I understand Khmer, I was very impressed by her excellent English and warm, friendly personality her smile immediately made me feel at home. After the market, we went to the cooking class venue, set under a charming traditional house. Soriya showed me their garden, full of fruit trees and herbs, which was delightful. I then chose what I wanted to cook and began the session with Sivonne, who was also fantastic so kind and knowledgeable. I particularly appreciated how she explained the reasoning behind the cooking steps, such as why garlic is added at the end for some dishes. Finally, I got to enjoy the food I had prepared, and it was absolutely delicious. The experience was not only fun but also very enriching. I would highly recommend this class to friends, family, or anyone looking for an authentic taste of Khmer culture and cuisine.

It was my first time joining a cooking class, and the experience was fantastic. Sorya was an excellent instructor she started with a tour of the local market and their herb garden, which was such a nice addition. As a vegetarian, I really appreciated how she adjusted the menu to suit my dietary needs. The Khmer curry was easily one of the best I’ve had on this trip, and the tofu amok, salad, and banana in coconut milk were all absolutely delicious.

What a wonderful morning! This interactive experience gave such insight into local life and the cultural importance of food. Sorya and her team were warm, knowledgeable, and welcoming. The day started with a market tour full of unique produce (who knew there were so many kinds of eggplants?), followed by a garden visit where many of our ingredients were grown. This family run cooking class exceeded expectations. Our tuk-tuk pickup was on time, and the group of seven was split between two tuk tuks. I’ll admit the surroundings on the way there made me a little unsure at first, but once we arrived, everything was spotless, welcoming, and beautifully set up.The team genuinely cared about sharing both cooking skills and Cambodian culture. Spending a few hours here was absolutely worth it, and of course, getting to eat what we cooked was the best part. Definitely recommend.

We were picked up in a tuk-tuk and first taken to the market, where one of the cooks walked us through the different vegetables, fruits, fish, and meats they use. She explained how joining this class supports many locals working with her, which made the experience feel even more special. After choosing our dishes, each of us had our own cooking station. With guidance, we prepared an appetizer, a main, a vegetable dish, and dessert. I chose fish amok such a wonderful specialty! Sorya also showed us the herb garden and mushroom growing area, which was fascinating. Later, all recipes were shared via WhatsApp. A really memorable activity.

I had such a wonderful time learning Khmer recipes with Sorya. I booked the class the day before and was picked up directly from my hotel. We started with a tour of her garden, then moved on to preparing a four course meal of our choice. I went with beef salad, tom yam soup, vegetable curry, and sweet potato with palm sugar. Sorya managed everything so smoothly, even when participants chose different dishes. After our meal, we visited a nearby market where she explained local ingredients and traditions. Since I joined the midday session, the market was quieter, so I’d suggest the morning or evening class if you want the full market experience. Overall, it was a well organized and very enjoyable activity I’d recommend it to anyone wanting to cook, eat, and learn more about Cambodian culture.
