We felt very fortunate with this booking. We had a private tour and probably the best guide available in Prague. Ms. Jaroslava Ciperova, a warm and elderly woman, proudly calls herself a native of Prague. She shared fascinating historical insights about the city and spoke from personal experience, having lived through communism. Her stories were deeply moving in a meaningful way. If you want more than a typical city tour and are interested in something beyond just having a beer, this is the right choice. Be sure to request Ms. Ciperova as your guide when you book.

Even though it was pouring rain, this turned out to be one of our best experiences in Prague. Our guide Anna arrived right on time at the meeting point. One minor downside was that the promotional image suggests a visit to U Flekus, but that wasn’t part of the tour. Other than that, the locations—aside from The Pub Praha 1—were fairly quiet. The tour itself and the guide were both excellent, and we truly enjoyed the whole experience. The tour was well organized, and the food and beer were quite tasty. However, I think calling it "legendary" is a bit of an overstatement. We moved from one venue to another, did some sightseeing along the way, and got a few explanations. It was enjoyable, but it didn’t exceed my expectations enough to call it legendary.

Even though it rained, the tour was quite engaging. Our guide, Anna, shared a lot about Prague and also took us to see some sights at night. The first two places we visited were decent, but the third one wasn’t as good. It might be better to choose a different spot for that part. Overall, this is a tour worth repeating!

The tour was really fun and definitely better than some of the usual city tours. Our guide, Anna, was very pleasant and entertaining throughout. The only thing I would change is the order of the pubs. I’d suggest moving "The Pub" to the end and leaving it open-ended there. The last pub, whose name I can’t recall, wasn’t very inviting to stay in. Also, the 20-minute walk there in the rain was quite challenging. Honestly, that last stop could have been skipped. Overall, though, it was a very enjoyable tour that I would gladly do again.

It was especially enjoyable that we had our guide—a young student—all to ourselves, as our group of four turned out to be the only participants that day. This led to a relaxed pub crawl where we had engaging conversations about Czech culture, history, and daily life. The three pubs we visited each had their own unique character: a cozy cellar bar, a more refined restaurant where we had our meal, and a lively beer hall catering to larger groups. At the end of the tour, we were even dropped off at a fourth venue—a casual student hangout—which was a pleasant surprise to wrap up the evening.

Our best evening in Prague was without a doubt thanks to the excellent guidance of Dr. Charvát. We got to sample a variety of beers, enjoy tasty traditional Czech dishes, and visit authentic local pubs. If you're looking to experience the real Prague and pick up some insider tips, this tour is absolutely worth it. Even if you’re not a beer drinker, I’d still recommend joining.

The term "legendary" might set expectations a bit too high. Our guide was very pleasant and talkative, and in that regard, there was nothing to complain about. A nice surprise was that during the walk, she also pointed out landmarks and gave recommendations on places worth visiting. We stopped at three venues—one for dinner—and had a pint of beer at each. I did feel that the tour lacked information on the history of brewing, beer types, strengths, and the customs of the pubs. It would have been nice to sample more varieties as well. I know that in at least one pub it’s possible to try several small tastings of 1.5 dl each. That said, we were informed about the option to explore the brewing process at one of the pubs, which was interesting. Admittedly, I could have asked more questions myself, but since I understand English better than I speak it, that held me back a little. All in all, it wasn’t a bad tour—but I wouldn’t call it legendary either.

It would be much better if the tour included more authentic and traditional Czech pubs, especially ones with welcoming staff. The first bar, where we could pour our own beer, was fun but too bright and lacked a cozy atmosphere. The second place, where we had dinner, was okay, and the food was once again quite good. The third pub, however, was a disappointment. The staff was unfriendly, and once the guide left—even though they could have still made money from us—no one came to our table. We had to get their attention multiple times, and the drinks took ages to arrive, with some even forgotten. The guide spent more time promoting cheap exchange offices and shops than sharing information about Prague’s history or anything relevant to the theme of the evening. When we did this beer tour previously with Anna, she gave us great insights and showed us around in a much more engaging way. If this had been our first experience with the beer tour, we wouldn’t have booked it again. The whole thing felt impersonal and rushed, both from the guide and the pubs.

We had an enjoyable evening with our guide, and the experience was generally pleasant. However, it would have been more engaging if there had been a larger group of English speakers. There were only four of us, and since the other couple only spoke German, the guide had to switch between both languages throughout the evening. I had hoped for a bit of background on the history of pilsner beer in Prague, but instead, we simply visited a few different restaurants, had some beer, and enjoyed dinner. While it was fun, I don’t think I would choose to do it again.
