Marmaris Yuvarlakcay Tour With Lunch & Akyaka River Cruise

Best day tour I've been on in my 32 years on existence. Nora was an exceptionally kind and knowledgeable guide throughout the tour. The river cruise featured some of the clearest water I've ever come across, and you even get the chance to swim at two different stops along the way. Lunch by the Yuvarlakçay River was an experience I’ll always remember. Eating a complimentary meal with your feet in the cool water was such a unique way to relax. You can choose from meatballs, chicken, or fish, all freshly prepared on a hot iron plate in a traditional stone oven. Highly recommended definitely a 10 out of 10.

We visited Akyaka and Yuvarlakçay with Nora. She's a young guide, but very skilled at what she does. She introduced us to some amazing sights, and the whole experience was really enjoyable.

Overall, this was a very pleasant trip! The air conditioning on the bus was decent, though not outstanding. We had around 4 to 5 stops along the way, and most of them had restroom access though at some locations, there was a small fee. The highlight for me was definitely the boat tour, which followed a beautiful route really enjoyable. The lunch stop was in a nice setting, but unfortunately, there were quite a few flies around, which took away from the experience a bit. That’s more of a general issue and not the fault of the tour itself, but it’s worth mentioning. On the return journey, we visited a large bazaar. Prices were very affordable, and most vendors preferred cash. It was a great way to end the day and pick up a few fresh items to take home. In summary, it was a very good excursion with lots to see. As someone who’s often concerned about long trips and restroom access, I felt it was well managed and comfortable. Our guide possibly named Sauna was amazing! So kind and helpful. 10/10!

If you find yourself in Turkey, the Yuvarlakçay tour is definitely something you shouldn’t miss. It was one of the most tranquil and picturesque days of our entire trip—like walking straight into a postcard. The river’s water is crystal clear and refreshingly cold, ideal for cooling off or simply dipping your feet. The area is surrounded by lush greenery and features wooden platforms built right over the water, so you can enjoy lunch with your feet just above the river. Speaking of lunch, the food was fresh, delicious, and served with breathtaking views. We savored traditional Turkish dishes in one of the most peaceful spots we’ve ever dined at. To make it even better, the tour included a 15-minute boat cruise that was absolutely enchanting. It was serene, scenic, and a perfect way to appreciate the area from the water. The whole experience felt calm, genuine, and incredibly refreshing—offering a nice break from the more crowded tourist locations. This year marked my first solo trip to Turkey, and out of the three tours I joined, this one was by far my favorite. I can’t recommend it enough. Akyaka is a stunning natural gem, and the river cruise was an unforgettable highlight of the day. The lunch stop at Yuvarlakçay was unbelievably beautiful, and there’s a chance to take a dip in the clear, cool waters—definitely worth it! The meal was delicious, and the entire day was well-organized from start to finish. Our guides, Berat and Nur, were excellent—friendly, informative, and engaging throughout the trip. I ended up recommending this tour to everyone I met while in Turkey.

Caramel did a great job leading the group and keeping everything well-organized. The beach in Akyaka was stunning, and having lunch by the river was definitely one of the best parts of the trip. I had an excellent time on this tour. The transport was clean, comfortable, and had great air conditioning. The first stop at Lovers Walk was a fun little intro to the day, setting the tone before we enjoyed some stunning scenery on the drive to the river cruise. The river water was crystal clear you could see straight to the bottom, almost like looking into an aquarium. While the boat ride itself wasn’t very long, you had time afterward to stroll around, relax at local cafés, or even take a dip in the ice-cold water if you’re feeling adventurous. After the boat tour, we headed to a remote restaurant for lunch (included in the trip, drinks were extra). The food was really tasty, but the setting stole the show absolutely beautiful. There’s another freezing-cold river there too, if you're up for a refreshing plunge. To wrap up the day, we visited a local farmers market where you could buy fresh produce and other local goods a great way to get a real taste of the culture. Our guide, Mert, was fantastic super friendly and kept everyone well informed throughout the day.

We were very happy with today’s tour. The bus picked us up from our hotel and brought us back afterward. It was a comfortable, air conditioned ride. Our guide, Kerem, was incredibly kind and approachable he clearly explained the itinerary and shared detailed information about Turkish history in excellent English. At each stop, Kerem spoke about the location with genuine interest and was always ready to help with any issue. The entire trip went smoothly, with stunning views and a delicious lunch included in the price. After the tour ended, I realized I had left my baseball cap behind. I contacted Kerem, and he personally returned it to me such a thoughtful gesture. Highly recommended! 10/10. I’d happily join this tour again.

This was a fantastic tour that started with a scenic bus ride to the beach, followed by a relaxing boat trip. After that, we had about an hour to enjoy the town and the beachside area. Next, the tour continued to Yuvarlakçay for lunch and the food exceeded expectations. For a meal that was included in the tour price, I wasn’t expecting much, but we were served a proper, full meal, which was a great surprise. Drinks and chips cost extra drinks were fairly priced, and a portion of chips was 150 lira. Our guide, Mert, was excellent he kept us well informed throughout the day and even pre ordered our meals at the restaurant, so there was no waiting around. Highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a short, refreshing getaway from Marmaris. Also, a shoutout to Hektor as a tour company I booked it through Mares Travel and had a great experience.
