This 2-day tour will immerse you in history and natural beauty as you visit two incredible destinations: Ephesus and Pamukkale. Here is a detailed breakdown of what you will experience each day.
Day One: Ancient City of Ephesus
Your journey begins with a visit to Ephesus, one of the best-preserved Greco-Roman ancient cities in the world. Upon arrival, you will step back in time as you explore the grand amphitheater, where ancient performances and public gatherings once took place. Marvel at the intricate architecture of the ancient temples and wander through the bustling agora, which served as the city’s marketplace and social center.
The highlight of your visit will be the famous Library of Celsus, an impressive structure that once housed thousands of scrolls and served as a testament to the intellectual achievements of the ancient world. You will also visit the Roman baths, which reflect the sophisticated engineering and daily life of the period.
Ephesus holds deep religious significance, especially for Christians, as it is believed to be the site of many important events in early Christianity. It remains a revered place of pilgrimage.
After a comprehensive tour of Ephesus, you will enjoy a delightful lunch featuring authentic local cuisine. The day will continue with a visit to a nearby workshop where talented local artisans will demonstrate the intricate process of creating handmade carpets and kilims, a centuries-old tradition that continues to be an important part of the region’s cultural heritage.
Day Two: Pamukkale Hierapolis Ancient City
On the second day, you will embark on a scenic 3-hour drive to Pamukkale, often referred to as the “Cotton Castle” due to its striking white travertine terraces. The journey includes a leisurely stop along the way, ensuring you arrive refreshed and ready to explore.
Your Pamukkale adventure begins with a hearty lunch at a local restaurant. Then, it’s time to explore the breathtaking travertine terraces, a natural wonder formed by mineral-rich hot springs that flow down the cliffside, creating an otherworldly landscape. You can walk barefoot on these terraces, feel the warm water beneath your feet, and take in the unique beauty of this UNESCO World Heritage site.
Next, you will visit the ancient city of Hierapolis, located on top of the terraces. This historic site includes fascinating ruins such as a vast necropolis, ruins of Roman baths and an impressive ancient theatre. As you wander around this city, you will gain insight into its role as a spa retreat for ancient civilisations.

I had an incredible two day tour visiting two incredible places. It was an experience I truly enjoyed. Traveling alone, I felt very comfortable and well cared for. My local guide, Jake, was extremely informative and provided detailed information about each place we visited. I toured Ephesus alone on the first day, and Jake gave me plenty of time to explore each place at my own pace. This tour is perfect for anyone short on time but still wanting to see two incredible places. If you choose this tour, I highly recommend choosing Jake as your guide. He is communicative, speaks excellent English, and is incredibly knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend this tour to others.

Our two day tour was very enjoyable. The guide who joined us on the first day to visit Ephesus was very knowledgeable. On the second day, our guide suddenly changed and another one arrived. We weren't very happy with him because he didn't pay much attention to us.
