Experience Montenegro’s coastline on the Kotor Sunset Group Tour, exploring the Lady of the Rocks and Perast. This 1.5-hour journey combines breathtaking landscapes and rich history, all illuminated by a stunning Mediterranean sunset.
Your adventure begins at Park Slobode in Kotor, where you'll board a comfortable speedboat designed for both excitement and relaxation. As we set sail, the breathtaking vistas of the Bay of Kotor unfold before you, with its serene waters framed by towering mountains. The cool breeze and the play of light on the water create a mesmerizing atmosphere, setting the tone for the experiences ahead.
Our first destination is the renowned Our Lady of the Rocks (Gospa od Škrpjela), a man-made islet with a rich history. According to legend, local seamen discovered an image of the Virgin Mary on a rock in the sea, leading them to create the island by adding rocks over centuries. Today, it stands as a testament to their devotion, featuring a beautiful church and museum. You'll have approximately 20 minutes to explore the church's intricate artworks and the museum's maritime exhibits, gaining insight into the region's cultural tapestry.
Continuing our voyage, we arrive at the charming coastal town of Perast. Known for its well-preserved Baroque architecture, Perast offers a glimpse into Montenegro's storied past. Stroll along the waterfront, admire the elegant stone villas, and perhaps visit one of the local cafes for a refreshing drink. The town's tranquil ambiance, especially as the sun begins its descent, provides a picturesque setting that's perfect for leisurely exploration and photography.
As we make our way back to Kotor, the setting sun casts a warm glow over the bay, offering unparalleled views and photo opportunities. The journey concludes where it began, leaving you with lasting memories of Montenegro's coastal allure.
The church on the island, built in 1630, houses silver plates depicting Boka’s seafaring history. Its interior features 68 paintings by renowned artist Tripo Kokolja.
The second part of the tour is a walking tour of Perast, a UNESCO-listed town filled with Baroque villas and historic churches. Its charming streets offer a serene and captivating atmosphere.
