Looking for a fun and adventurous way to explore the stunning surroundings of Kalkan? Look no further than our Kalkan Jeep Safari! This full-day tour combines visits to ancient cities like Xanthos and Patara with the breathtaking natural beauty of Saklıkent Gorge. Traveling in our top-of-the-line jeeps ensures an adrenaline-filled ride, taking you to places other vehicles simply can’t reach, with uninterrupted panoramic views along the way.
The day begins at 9:00 AM in Kalkan, where you’ll meet your professional jeep driver and guide. After a brief introduction and an overview of the day’s itinerary, we’ll hop into our jeeps and begin the safari. Driving along dirt tracks and rugged roads, we’ll pass through charming villages, stop for traditional tea, and immerse ourselves in the local countryside.
One of the tour’s highlights is the playful water fights between jeeps—a great way to cool off in the midday heat. Don’t be surprised if local farmers join in the fun, adding to the lively and unique atmosphere.
Our first major stop is Saklıkent Gorge, Turkey’s longest canyon and a natural wonder straddling the border between the Antalya and Muğla regions. Here, we’ll take a leisurely walk of less than 2 kilometers, offering spectacular views of the gorge’s towering cliffs. You’ll have time to take photos, enjoy the refreshing breeze, and soak in the serene beauty of this extraordinary site.
Following this nature-filled experience, we’ll enjoy a delicious traditional Turkish lunch at a local restaurant. For those seeking an extra dose of fun, there’s an option to indulge in a rejuvenating mud bath—don’t forget to bring a change of clothes if you plan to participate.
In the afternoon, we’ll visit the ancient city of Xanthos, once the capital of the Lycian Union. These well-preserved ruins are rich in history and mythology, and your guide will share fascinating stories about this UNESCO World Heritage Site, making it a memorable stop for history enthusiasts.
Our final destinations are Patara Beach and Kaputaş Beach, two of Turkey’s most iconic coastal spots. Patara, the longest beach in Turkey, offers an ideal opportunity for a swim in the warm turquoise waters. Kaputaş, with its pristine and natural beauty, is a picturesque spot to unwind and reflect on the day’s adventures.
After a full day of exploration and excitement, we’ll return to Kalkan, leaving you with unforgettable memories and plenty of stunning photos from this incredible journey.
Our well-maintained, open-top jeeps offer elevated seating for panoramic views of the stunning countryside. Our trained drivers ensure your safety and enjoyment throughout the day.
We'll embark on a leisurely 2 km walk, offering opportunities to observe local wildlife and Turkey's diverse flora.
After walking through the gorge, we’ll stop for lunch. Guests can also enjoy a relaxing mud bath—don’t forget to bring a spare set of clothes for this unique experience!
After lunch, we visit Xanthos, the first capital of the Lycian Union and a key historical site. Our expert guides will share insights into its history and life during its peak.
Our day ends at two stunning beaches. First, Patara, Turkey's longest beach, perfect for a swim. Then, Kaputaş, where you can enjoy the breathtaking scenery, warm waters, or relax on the shoreline.
Our jeep driver will be waiting to take you home after a fabulous day of sightseeing and adventure.

We were a group of four friends and this was one of the best days of our trip. The water fights were hilarious and refreshing. Loved the walk in Saklıkent and the beach time at Patara. Bring a towel and dry clothes—it gets messy, but in the best way!

We had a brilliant day on this safari with our two kids, aged 9 and 11. They especially loved the mud bath and Kaputaş Beach. It was well organized, and the jeeps were safe and comfortable. Would definitely recommend it to other families.

Excellent way to see the region beyond Kalkan. Very organized tour with interesting info at each site. I especially liked the ancient city of Xanthos—it's quiet but really powerful. The guide was knowledgeable and approachable.

So much fun! We laughed a lot during the water fights and soaked in so much beauty at every stop. This was our first jeep safari and it totally lived up to the hype. The gorge was cooler than expected—literally and visually.

We weren’t sure if our younger daughter would enjoy it, but she had the best time! The guide was great with kids, and the jeep ride wasn’t too bumpy. Plenty of photo stops and enough flexibility to keep it fun for everyone.

We really enjoyed this day trip. Not only was it fun, but we learned a lot about the Lycian region too. The lunch was better than expected, and there was a good amount of time to relax at the beaches. Great value for money.

Everything about this tour was smooth and enjoyable. From the friendly guides to the gorgeous views and refreshing swim stops, it ticked all the boxes. Would definitely do it again next time we’re in the area.

The tour had some fun moments, especially the water fights and the visit to Saklıkent Gorge. My kids enjoyed that part a lot. But the day felt a bit too long, especially with younger children. The lunch was okay, nothing special. We also found the jeep ride a bit uncomfortable at times on the rougher roads. It's not a bad experience overall, but I think it's more suited for groups of friends or couples rather than families with small kids.

The jeep safari had its highlights—Saklıkent was definitely worth seeing, and the scenery during the drive was nice. But the tour felt slightly disorganized at points. There wasn’t a ton of information given about the historical sites, and some of the stops felt a bit rushed. The mud bath was fun, though not really my thing. I was hoping for more insight into the region and a bit less time just waiting around between stops.

We had a decent day on the tour, but it didn’t fully meet our expectations. The water fights were fun and the gorge was beautiful, but the historical parts were a bit underwhelming, mostly because the guide didn’t explain much. Also, Kaputaş Beach was really crowded and we didn’t get much time there. It’s a nice idea for a day out, but it could be improved with better planning and more engaging commentary.

We had such a fun time on this tour! The water fights were the best part—we didn’t expect to laugh that much. Saklıkent Gorge was beautiful and refreshing, especially on a hot day. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the schedule felt a little rushed in the afternoon, especially at Patara Beach. A bit more time to relax there would have made it perfect.

Great day out with the family. The kids (17 and 14) really enjoyed the jeep rides and mud bath. Saklıkent was a highlight for all of us, and the scenery throughout the day was gorgeous. My only small complaint is that the jeeps were a bit cramped for taller people, but it didn’t ruin the experience. Would definitely recommend it for active families looking for a full day adventure.

We had a really good time overall. The guide was friendly and the stops were well chosen. Xanthos was very interesting and Patara Beach was stunning. The lunch was tasty but a bit delayed, and we felt the visit to Kaputaş Beach could have been longer. Still, it was a great way to see several places in one day without the hassle of planning everything ourselves.

Very enjoyable tour with a great mix of nature, history, and beach time. Saklıkent Gorge was impressive and a nice escape from the heat. The guide shared useful facts without going overboard, and the group was friendly. Only reason for 4 stars is that the ride can get a little bumpy, so it might not be ideal for everyone. Otherwise, a great way to explore the Kalkan area.

We had a really fun time on this tour. The jeep ride through the countryside was beautiful, and the water fights were such a cool surprise—definitely one of the highlights. Saklıkent Gorge was stunning, and the lunch was actually better than we expected. The only downside was that Kaputaş Beach felt a bit rushed. Would’ve loved just 30 more minutes there. Still, an amazing way to spend the day with friends.

A great mix of history, nature, and fun. My wife and I especially enjoyed walking through the gorge—it was peaceful and refreshing. The visit to Xanthos added an interesting historical touch, and the guide gave us just enough context to appreciate it. Our only small complaint was the timing at the last beach stop—it felt a bit short. Otherwise, everything was smooth and enjoyable. Definitely worth doing while in Kalkan.
