Experience a unique cultural escape with the Kaş-Meis Island Tour! Just a short ferry ride away, this charming Greek island offers stunning views, colorful architecture, and a taste of history. Perfect for a day of exploration and relaxation!
Meis, or by its full Greek name Kastellorizo, is a small island located just 30 minutes by boat from Kaş. If you're looking to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life, a quick boat trip will transport you to the exquisite peace and serenity of this Mediterranean gem. It’s the perfect destination to relax, unwind, and let your worries drift away. Spend your day visiting the Blue Cave, one of the area’s most incredible natural wonders, take a leisurely hike up the mountain to explore the island’s castle, or simply relax in the village and savor some of Greece’s freshest local dishes.
Interestingly, Meis translates to “biggest,” which is ironic given that it’s a tiny island. In fact, there’s only one bus and one taxi on the entire island! To visit, you can book your Meis Island Ferry Ticket online. The ferry departs daily at 10 AM and returns at 4 PM. During the short 30-minute journey, enjoy stunning views of the coastline and maybe even soak up some sun.
Upon arrival, you'll be captivated by the colorful boats lining the harbor and the pastel-colored houses and buildings for which the island is famous. It’s a photographer’s paradise, with every view resembling a scene straight out of a postcard. The town itself exudes a laid-back, relaxed charm. Stroll through the narrow streets, immerse yourself in the slow-paced island life, or relax at a local taverna while enjoying fresh seafood.
A popular activity for visitors is a boat trip to the Blue Cave, a breathtaking natural formation. To enter, the boat must proceed slowly, and passengers may need to lie flat to fit through the narrow opening. Once inside, the cave opens up into a magnificent chamber illuminated by the pristine blue waters—a truly unforgettable sight.
Before your return trip, take a short walk up to the local castle to admire the stunning views of the surrounding sea. The ferry back to Kas departs at 4 PM, with another scenic 30-minute journey to end your day.
Arrive at Kas Harbor on your own. Meet with the tour guide for customs procedures and a brief overview of the day. Ensure you have your passport ready for the customs check.
After completing passport control, you will board the ferry and set off towards Meis Island.
Board the boat and depart for Meis Island. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes, offering stunning views of the Mediterranean.
During the tour, guests have the option to visit the famous "Blue Cave." This natural wonder is accessible by small boats and offers a mesmerizing experience.
At 4pm every day the ferry departs on the half hour journey back to the mainland and to Kas harbour. Enjoy the leisurely journey.

I wasn’t expecting to enjoy Meis as much as I did—it’s absolutely beautiful. I spent hours taking photos, reading by the harbor, and chatting with locals at a taverna. It was peaceful and really easy to organize.

We really enjoyed the trip to Meis, especially the Blue Cave—it was stunning. Only small downside was a bit of waiting time for the cave boat once we got to the island, but overall still a great experience.

The island was beautiful and super relaxing. I just wish there were a bit more information shared on the ferry or upon arrival—it would’ve helped us plan our day better. Still, it was a lovely outing.

Our family had a peaceful day in Meis. The views were great and the water was perfect for swimming. The only reason I’m not giving five stars is because the food options near the port were a bit limited for picky eaters.
