Icmeler Rhodes Ferry Trip With Free Hotel Transfer Service

The hotel transfer to and from the port was well coordinated. A comfortable, air conditioned minibus picked us up right on time at the agreed location. When we reached the port, collecting our tickets involved only a short wait. The cost we paid already included the port tax, so there were no extra fees upon arrival something to keep in mind, as not all lower cost tours seem to cover that. The outbound ferry ride was a bit rough, and quite a few passengers experienced motion sickness. Thankfully, the ferry crew responded quickly by distributing sick bags. It wasn’t pleasant, but it was manageable. This was on a calm August morning, so anyone prone to seasickness should take caution. Snacks and drinks were available to buy on board. There were four passport checks throughout the day, but the lines moved quickly we never waited more than 5 to 10 minutes. Rhodes was stunning. We had about six hours to explore the old town, where we visited the palace and archaeological museum both worth seeing more for their impressive buildings than the exhibits. We enjoyed a delicious lunch at a local taverna, followed by ice cream and a walk to a gorgeous beach with crystal clear blue water on the way back to the port. We made it back to our hotel in time for dinner. A truly enjoyable day out.

The day trip to Rhodes came with timely, air conditioned transfers to and from the hotel. The ferry crossing lasts around an hour and is also comfortably air conditioned. There’s ample time to explore the castle, enjoy the 9D experience, and have a nice lunch along with some ice cream. Although there are four passport controls during the day, they all went smoothly without long waits. Shopping was enjoyable, with plenty of high end stores located near the harbor.
