Alanya Pamukkale Day Trip begins when our local driver collects you from your hotel. We have an interesting journey through the countryside of Alanya to our first destination of Pamukkale. The travertine (traces of carbon minerals left by flowing water) in Pamukkale create an almost lunar landscape which can be seen in Denizli town almost 20 km away. The famous limestone terraces will remain in your memory for some time as they are so unique which is why they have been awarded UNESCO world heritage distinction.
Following our rejuvenating dip we’ll continue our journey up to the town of Hierapolis and the necropolis. This town was built above the famous thermal pools and is a must visit for those with a passion for Turkish history. We’ll get a chance to visit the famous history museum which in days gone by was used as a Turkish bath house. We’ll also visit the ancient Cleopatra swimming pool, the monumental tomb of St Phillipe and the stunning Necropolis of Anatolia. Don’t forget to pack your comfortable walking shoes and of course your camera to capture the scenes around town.
The route will take us through the picturesque surroundings of the Taurus mountains with breath taking views around every corner. Upon our return to Alanya you will be driven back to your own hotel by our friendly drivers after a full on day of sightseeing and immersion into Turkish culture.

Pick up: Our friendly guides will come and collect you from your hotel to begin the day. Make sure you have comfortable clothes, your camera, sun cream and your swimming suits.
Breakfast: When we reach Korkuteli we will have a short break for breakfast. It’s important to know that this is not included in the price and you are welcome to bring a breakfast box from your hotel. There are cafes to purchase refreshments.
Comfort break: We will take a short break as we enter Pamukkale to prepare ourselves for the thermal springs.
History & Nature: Our expert guides are on hand to inform you about the fascinating history, both Greek and Roman about this area. You’ll be able to learn about the calcium formations that make Pamukkale so special as well as Greek mythological stories of the area. You will have approximately 3 whole hours to explore the town of Hierapolis and it’s Roman amphitheatre. You can choose to study the relics in the museum, or spend more time relaxing in the thermal springs. If you would like to swim in Cleopatra’s pool there is a small cover charge.
Return Back: Once we are back in Alanya your friendly local driver will transfer you back to your hotel.

Going around with two kids is not that easy, BUT this company made it easy for us! I always wanted to visit Pamukkale and this tour combined visits at all the places I wanted to see.
