One of the most relaxing and unforgettable ways to experience the countryside around Alanya is on horseback. With a team of 20 experienced horses this adventure is suitable for everyone from novice first time horse riders to those who have ridden a lot in the past. Our professional guiding crew will look after you as you enjoy a leisurely ride through the stunning countryside, up into the Taurus hills and around the ancient town of Syedra. Alanya Horse Riding is a truly unique and wonderful way to discover the countryside.
Our team of professional riders will be on hand to welcome you to the riding centre. You’ll be introduced to your horse who has been specially chosen for you to suit your riding capabilities. For those total newbies there is no need to worry. Sedate, calm horses will be chosen for you and your guides will be with you at all times to help you control and lead these beautiful animals. For those with a bit more skill and those wanting to test themselves we have some bigger more powerful horses that love being taken out on our trails.
We start with a safety briefing and then have some lessons into how to control your horse. First timers will be amazed at how quickly they can pick up the skills needed and the confidence levels will rise quickly. Our friendly staff are here to help you so please ask any questions that you may have.
Following our short lessons it’s time to take the horses out onto the trail. The stunning countryside of Alanya is our back drop as we wind through the trees and gradually begin to ascend the Taurus mountain range. Our first destination is the old town of Syedra. Perched on the hillside overlooking the Mediterranean sea, this beautiful town is a great spot to take in the scenery and explore. The city walls are decorated with various mosaics and the old city wall has been partially preserved to let us see how things were back in the day.
We’ll then take a short ride to another local village where we’ll be able to take a break and enjoy some traditional apple tea. We’ll then re-mount our horses and take a meandering ride back to the riding centre. The whole riding time is around 1 hour with amazing scenery as well as 2 interesting cultural stops along the way.
Children are catered for with smaller ponies. Even children under 5 can enjoy the experience with 2 adults leading their pony.

Alanya Horse Riding Tour is the perfect getaway for those looking to bond with nature in a truly unique setting. You’ll join your friendly horse at the ranch just outside Alanya before enjoying a leisurely 2 hour trek through the open countryside. Stopping off at the ancient town of Syedra with it’s beautiful castle and ruins we’ll then enjoy some traditional Turkish hospitality before we journey back home.
Pick Up: Your Alanya Horse Riding Adventure begins when our friendly driver will come and collect you from your hotel.
Ranch and Horses: Located just outside of Alanya the ranch is a perfect spot for our horses to live. With plenty of shade and lots of space to roam around in you’ll see our horses are happy and relaxed, making them the perfect animals to enjoy this adventure with. The ranch itself has 20 different horses to suit all different riding abilities so please don’t worry, we will have a horse suitable for you.
Training and Information: Upon arrival at the ranch you will be given a safety briefing as well as safety equipment to wear. Our professional instructors will then help you learn how to ride the horses and what instructions to give them. Don’t worry, our horses are well used to novice riders and you will be amazed how easy it is to control them. For smaller children they can ride the ponies. For children under 5 2 adults will lead the pony out making sure that everything is safe at all times.
Let’s Ride: Alanya Horse Riding begins as we start to ascend the beautiful Taurus mountains. This is one of the most tranquil and calm ways to discover the forests as we meander through the trees and fields. The view from horseback is one to be remembered as we break through the tree line and admire the stunning Meditarranean sea down below.
Syedra Ancient City: Our first destination is the ancient city of Syedra. Here we can stop for a while and enjoy the view as we look out across the Mediterranean sea. The city itself is an interesting stop as it is a great place to explore. The city walls which have been partially preserved are decorated with interesting mosaics. The Syedra castle can be visited as can a triumphal archway and several man made reservoirs. Following this we’ll continue on the safari to a local village where we can try some herbal, apple tea. Our journey then winds its way back down the mountain range to the ranch.
Return back: Following Alanya Horse Riding Adventure. you’ll be returned back to your hotel in Alanya by our friendly driver in comfort for a well earned rest.
Value for money, and kids loved it! First time horse riding with the kids and they got excited about everything. The operator offered transfers and went to the ranch which is not that far. It’s a clean place and you can see that horses receive good care. The people there explained to our kids everything and gave them helmets for safety. The route was excellent! We started riding and the landscape was so tranquil and beautiful. Don’t miss it if you are in Alanya. It was a lovely things to do as a family.
