This tour is a great experience for families or groups of friends who are looking to explore some of our unique countryside as well as having the opportunity to swim and relax at a stunningly beautiful spot. The Dim river and Dim cave tour is a full day of fun and relaxation. Explore the interesting caves and swim at Dim river which is overlooked by restaurants and lush vegetation. Lunch is included in the price as is transport in our great fun jeeps.
Your day of fun begins when our driver will collect you from your hotel. We’ll journey by jeep out of Alanya and head out into the countryside towards the Dim river or Dim Cay as the locals call it. On our way to the river we will make a stop at one of our local natural wonder sites. Formed by millions of years of plate tectonics and water movement over millions of years the Dim caves are a fantastic example of some stalactite and stalagmite formations in the area. Even those who are new to this sort of nature are taken aback when they visit sites such as this. The beauty and sheer force of nature is on display for all to see here.
Following our cave visit we’ll jump back into our jeeps and continue the adventure. As we traverse through the countryside the scenery on either side will take your breath away. We’ll stop off at a local fruit seller and try some of the delicious offerings. The produce of this region is outstanding, and it is no wonder we are the envy of the world when it comes to our sweet fruits.
We pass through a small mountain village where we’ll get to see the local mosque and observe the relaxed atmosphere and way of life that the Turkish countryside is so well know for.
Upon reaching the Dim river you have plenty of time to wallow away to your hearts content in the cool waters. Sunbathe on the banks of the river or enjoy a drink or two at a local restaurant. For those brave souls there’s a running jump board that you can throw yourself off and into the water. For those not so brave, it makes for a good spectator sport.
Following our fun at the river we’ll head back in the jeeps which should have you back in Alanya for late afternoon.

Our friendly jeep driver will come and collect you and your group from your hotel in the morning before we begin our journey. Make sure that you have packed your camera, some extra sun cream and of course your swim gear for when we reach the river.
Dim Cave: Our first stop of the day is at the Dim Cave. The cave itself is 360 metres in length and is most famous for its amazing rock formations. Stalactites and stalagmites grow out of the floor and ceiling of the cave and give it an eerie feel. Millions of years of wind, water and weather erosion have created the unique features which make for stunning photo opportunities. Of course, your guide will be there with you to tell you about the interesting facts and figures of the cave and what to look out for.
Explore thr countryside: As we leave the cave behind, we continue on our journey through the countryside to the Dim river. Along the way we’ll drive through orchards and farms and we’ll have a chance to stop and try some freshly picked fruits. We’ll also drive through a beautifully quaint, country village. Here you can see the slow pace of country life. There’s a lovely mosque and interesting old buildings that have many stories to tell.
Dim River: The Dim river or Dimcay to the locals is our final destination. Surrounded by lush vegetation all year round this river is the perfect spot to get away from the blazing midday sun. The water temperature is always cool here no matter what the summer heat on dry land is. It used to play a major part in the local agriculture business but now it more a water sport park. You can take a relaxing swim or join the more daring on the run and jump platform to see who is the best diver amongst you. The area has many restaurants surrounding the river, some have pools and slides. There is also a children’s area for the younger crowd to enjoy. We will take a beautiful Turkish lunch at the river and enjoy the tranquil scenery before we have one more swim and then it’s time for us to return to Alanya.
Return back: Our jeep will take you right back to your hotel in Alanya, you need not worry about a thing.
Fun and easy going tour! Also it’s great for families! We went on this this morning and our 8 year old son was with us. We all had a lovely day with no problems at all! My son enjoyed a lot the ride with the jeep. Driving through the mountain with a jeep was something new for him and he was happy during the road trip. We had some short stops at some villages and got to taste some delicious fruits! The river was a true highlight. We had some free time to relax and explore the area. It was a fun day in the countryside with lots of interesting places. Recommended for sure!
