Dubai: Ethnic Emirati Dining Experience

Our dining experience was guided by Abdo, who demonstrated great professionalism and a deep understanding of his role, along with extensive knowledge of Emirati culture, cuisine, and lifestyle. He served us a five-course meal and even assisted us in dressing up as an Emirati couple for some quick photos. Towards the end, Hossaim offered us traditional Gahwa. This wonderful evening at Al Khayama will remain memorable for us.

The atmosphere and staff were very welcoming. The food was delicious and served in large portions, which I really appreciated since it’s not common in Japan. Although I missed out on the henna painting because the person in charge wasn’t available, the staff kindly apologized and shared fascinating stories about the Emirates using photos in the shop. Talking with Nishiumi-san was a highlight, and the coffee and date syrup sweets were delightful. Thank you very much—I’ll definitely visit Dubai again!

I made the mistake of having lunch beforehand because the portions here are huge! The setting is lovely, and the staff are attentive, friendly, and helpful. Not only was there plenty of food, but it was also genuinely delicious. If this is authentic Emirati cuisine, I’m truly impressed. However, the description mentioned henna painting, which never happened and wasn’t mentioned by our hosts. That was disappointing I would have been happy just with the food but left feeling a bit let down and unsure if I picked the right option.

I had a pleasant experience with tasty food and excellent entertainment. The restaurant itself is lovely, featuring live music and henna painting. The staff were outstanding as well. However, my only issue was that there was no guide, and you can simply visit the restaurant without booking through GetYourGuide beforehand. This meant I ended up paying the same price for my 5-year-old daughter’s ticket as for an adult. We also ordered food for two adults but had to take half home because the portions were very large. For children under 8 to 10 years old, I wouldn’t recommend using this offer.
