Our guide really knew his stuff. Without him, it would’ve been easy to waste time on things that aren’t all that important since there’s so much to take in. He did a great job, and I’d definitely suggest booking a private tour like we did.

Visiting this museum and uncovering its treasures was definitely an interesting experience. The guide was friendly, though he spent quite a bit of time on his phone. Luckily, I was able to look up some info online myself. He did take some nice photos of me though, so thanks for that.

The old Egyptian Museum and the chaos around it are definitely something you have to experience. Pick-up was a bit tricky though, since there are too many hotels with similar names. Sending a Google Maps link really helps. Visiting the museum without a guide is more for hardcore enthusiasts. If you want to see the most impressive pieces, you need someone to show you around and explain things well. Luckily, we had that, plus a very skilled and safe driver.

The guide was really friendly, but sadly his German was pretty hard to follow. The way the information was presented could’ve been more organized, and the history of Egypt could’ve been explained in a clearer way.

It’s definitely worth having a guide for this museum, there’s just too much to take in otherwise. Ours focused on the main highlights and really knew his stuff, answering all our questions. On the downside, he seemed a bit annoyed when we said we weren’t interested in the papyrus and lotus oil part of the tour. These stops are added to most tours just to try and sell you things and earn the guide some commission. As for the driver, I get that driving in Egypt can be pretty chaotic, but ours took it too far, he was showing photos to the guide on his phone and wasn’t even holding the wheel. We nearly crashed into a car at an intersection. Totally not okay.

Mohamed was a great guide with deep knowledge of history. He was able to give clear, informed answers to all our questions. We were warmly welcomed and felt well taken care of throughout the tour. Highly recommended!

The tour lived up to what we were hoping for. Our guide was pretty good and knew a lot about the topic. Transport was great too. We were supposed to be dropped off at our hotel, but they were happy to take us somewhere else when we asked.

We had an amazing time touring the Egyptian Museum with Amira. She was super knowledgeable, friendly, and experienced, and we were really impressed by how much she knew about the artifacts. She took us through all the main spots, making the whole trip interesting and informative from start to finish. We felt safe and comfortable the whole time, and it was great not being pushed to visit any factories or shops. If we went again, we’d probably want a bit more time for photos and to explore other parts of the museum, since it felt a little rushed but we’ll definitely be back!

He showed us the key highlights and explained everything clearly, he even drew some pictures for us! It was an amazing experience and totally worth it. The driver was really friendly too. Everything went smoothly, and I’d definitely recommend it. We learned a lot! Thanks so much!

The Egyptian Museum is packed with history to explore. Our guide did a fantastic job explaining everything and answering all our questions. The transportation was great, with nice cars, and the driver was really kind, he even gave my son a juice and a snack. I’d highly recommend both the visit and the tour company.

The guide’s English wasn’t great, which took away a bit from the experience. The museum itself felt dark and a bit shabby. I’m guessing it’s starting to run down since things are being moved to the new museum?

Really good experience. We had a great time with Mahmoud.

Once you add all the expected tips, the trip ends up being pretty expensive. There were also a lot of beggars, which got really frustrating especially the kids who were quite pushy. That said, our guide was absolutely excellent!

It was a bit disappointing that we weren’t allowed to take photos or videos of Tutankhamun’s mask and tombs due to the museum rules. Other than that, everything went well and the guide was good.

It was a bad day. Our visit was meant to start at 10:00, but they asked to push it to 12:00 and we agreed. At noon, they took us to the museum, but for some reason, the guide wasn’t allowed inside. So, we ended up with a guide who didn’t speak Italian and a gentleman translating for us. The whole visit felt rushed and badly organized!

We had a really good visit to the museum, and having a guide is definitely helpful since there’s so much to see and some of the info panels aren’t always clear or are only in Arabic. Our guide Ismael knew his stuff pretty well. Thanks to him!

Our guide was fantastic. We learned a ton from her. Rasha was professional and really knew her stuff. You could tell she was passionate and excited about her work, which made us feel the same. We can’t recommend her enough and would definitely ask for her again if we visit Egypt in the future.

The visit was good, everyone should see the Cairo Museum at least once, but I probably wouldn’t go again. There are loads of items on display, but not much order or clear explanations. Thankfully, we had an awesome guide, because without one it would’ve been tough to follow. The only really interesting part was the room with Tutankhamun’s treasure.

It was an amazing experience, thanks not only to Egypt’s incredible treasures but especially to our guide Walid’s friendliness, helpfulness, and professionalism.

Ahmed was fantastic as a guide. He knew a lot and made learning about ancient Egypt really interesting as we explored the museum. We also did a tour of Islamic Cairo, which was the highlight of our trip. As two women, we felt safe and comfortable with Ahmed leading the way. Our driver was great too, and the car was really comfortable, a perfect way to see Cairo.

The guide was really kind and knew a lot. Everything was truly beautiful. The only downside was the heavy pressure to buy things during the shopping stops, like at the papyrus museum and the perfume shop.

I felt like the museum tour was a bit rushed. The guide showed me what she said were the important things in just two hours, but I still felt like I missed a lot and wanted to explore more. So, I asked for an extra hour to stay longer on my own. Later, the guide suggested stopping by some essential oil and jewelry shops before dropping me back at the hotel. It’s fine to go, but my advice is to bargain hard if you’re buying anything. They charge crazy prices and claim it’s high quality or government approved, but the prices are marked up by 200% or more.

The museum was alright, mostly old stuff, like a warm-up for the new one. The guide wasn’t great with the kids or our questions, just stuck to the usual facts everyone knows.

We booked five different tours in total, and this one was by far the worst. The price didn’t match what we got at all. The tour was supposed to last 4 hours but actually lasted less than an hour, just 10 minutes outside the museum and 40 minutes inside. We would have preferred to explore the museum on our own. Paying so much for only 50 minutes, plus getting some wrong info (like about the glass coffin), just wasn’t right. Still, Egypt is a great country with lots to see!

The trip was both exciting and educational. Our guide was friendly and knew a lot. Overall, it was a really nice experience.

We had a fantastic day with Dalia Kamel as our guide. She knew her stuff and shared loads of info about the Egyptian Museum. Without her, the museum would have been really overwhelming. After the tour, she took us to a papyrus factory.

The transport was smooth and easy. Our guide was really friendly and a nice guy. He knew loads about the objects and history and spoke good English. The vibe was relaxed and fun, but we still learned a lot. If we didn’t get something or had other questions, he was happy to explain. He also listened to us, making the whole experience really great.

I really enjoyed my tour with Ahmed. He knew a lot and tailored the info perfectly to my level. There was so much to see, but Ahmed made sure I caught the key exhibits and also gave me time to explore on my own. Thanks!

We really enjoyed our museum tour with Dalia! She was warm and friendly, making us feel completely at ease. She knew a lot about Egyptian history and answered all our questions. She even helped us book a pyramid tour. Highly recommend! Ragab, the driver, was great too—patient, friendly, and calm behind the wheel.

The guide showed up an hour late and didn’t speak German very well. She struggled to explain Egyptian history and mythology clearly, focused too much on hieroglyphs, and kept taking calls from her husband.
