Alanya City Tour: Explore Damlataş Cave, Cleopatra and Alanya Castle

Both guides were very helpful and full of interesting information. I’d definitely recommend taking this tour. It’s well worth it. You really can’t visit Alanya without experiencing this, with so much history, culture, and amazing views.

Nice trip overall, though the cave was a bit disappointing since we only spent about 10 minutes inside. Cleopatra Beach is lovely, but unfortunately there were many cigarette butts scattered around smoking should really be banned there. The elevator ride was enjoyable, and exploring the castle was exciting. The view from the I love Alanya spot at sunset was stunning. Thanks to our guides for sharing interesting stories throughout the tour.

We were picked up in a bus with poor air conditioning on a day over 30 degrees. We originally booked without the cable car but soon realized it wasn’t much use since the castle was the main attraction aside from the cave you could really do just one or the other. We paid extra for the cable car ride to the castle but regretted it, especially since it wasn’t very interesting and not ideal for young children. This felt less like a proper tour and more like a taxi service to Alanya, with very little information given about the history. You’re mostly left to explore the sites on your own. There were three staff members involved: the driver, a man who escorted us between stops, and a guide who provided information. The tour guide communicated well, but the other two didn’t communicate much or clearly. The escort rushed us along, even though there were several young kids in the group who couldn’t keep up. At one point, the driver accidentally locked himself out of the van. On the positive side, there were beautiful views perfect for photos. Overall, though, it wasn’t worth the time or money.

Our tour guides were fantastic. Even though our hotel wasn’t on the list because it was just outside Alanya, quick communication confirmed that our transfer to Alanya was sorted. We ended up paying the same amount as a taxi would have cost for a return trip from Alanya, so this was excellent value for anyone wanting a quick sightseeing tour without spending hours in the intense heat. We enjoyed incredible views, visited the castle, and explored the Damlatas caves near Cleopatra Beach. Overall, it was exactly what we wanted with kind, helpful hosts and great tour guides. Absolutely perfect!

John and his wife were excellent hosts patient and informative as we walked through the tour in the heat. They genuinely cared about our holiday plans and made the experience enjoyable. The tour began outside the Damlatas Cave, where I paid to enter, explore, and take photos. Next, we joined other tourists to take the cable car up to Alanya Castle. We had about an hour to follow our guide on a guided tour around the castle. He was quick but patient, showing us stunning sunset views and sharing interesting historical details. Afterward, we visited various viewpoints around Alanya to take photos. Overall, it was a fantastic tour for seeing key tourist spots, especially if you have limited time. The evening timing made the sunset even more beautiful. Many thanks for unforgettable memories!

Great trip overall! It’s not ideal for those with weak legs since there’s a climb up the hill after the cable car ride, but I definitely recommend it. Along the way, we even saw some goats and cats, which was a nice bonus.

The music was excessively loud uncomfortable and quite rude. The stops felt very rushed, with only about 15 minutes combined at Damlatas Cave and Cleopatra Beach, and roughly an hour at the citadel/castle. The driver was definitely fast paced, which didn’t bother us, but if you prefer a slower pace, this might not be the tour for you. I wouldn’t recommend it for children. Additionally, there was little to no historical information provided during the trip.
