In what regards the places of interest, the most known and important sited in Simi is the monastery of Archangel Michael Panormitis. It was constructed during the 18th century and can be found on the southwest coast of the Island. There, you can observe an impressive bell tower or visit the museums inside the monastery. In Simi there is also an archaeological museum that includes a collection of items from the Classical, Hellenistic and Roman eras, a Byzantine collection, and a small collection of interesting folklore items.
