The day’s exploration begins with a visit to the Greco-Roman amphitheatre of Aspendos. This site dates back to 2AD and is one of the best preserved amphitheatres in the Mediterranean. In fact it is still in use today, with a capacity of 15,000. Operas, ballets and many more performances take place here during the summer months.
Our second stop is the city of Side which used to be a Roman port. Side is now a modern town but there are still many old Roman ruins dotted around. Again dating back to 2AD the town was a gift from Anthony to Cleopatra, representing his love for her. The local bazaar at Side is a fantastic place full of bustling life and is a great stop to do some souvenir and present shopping. Don’t worry you will have penty of time to spend some holiday money.
Our final destination on this 3 in 1 adventure is the Manavget river and in particular its stunning waterfalls. Did you know that this is one of the most photographed spots in the whole of Turkey? The Manavget falls are not high but the water is very powerful. White foam rushes over the rocks and cascades down through the rapids. It’s a wonderful sight and can be enjoyed at a charming tea house located right by the falls. This is also the spot where we’ll enjoy a nice local lunch (also included in the price).

Manavgat Waterfall: Pouring water from the infamous Manavgat River, this waterfall is one of the most famous in the broader area. It is 4-meters high and features emerald waters in a naturally shaped pool. The surrounding area is full of trees, making the waterfall look even more impressive. During your time there, you may walk around and admire the natural beauty or snap some photos of this natural wonder.
Side: This historical site is full of fascinating places to visit. Your guide will take you around and show you the faous amphitheatre, the temple of Apollo, Necropolis and the old market place. The Side bazaar is also a favourite spot for many of our guests to do some important gift shopping. Don’t worry we have factored in enough time for you to do some shopping here.
Return Back: Following our coach trip back to Alanya our drivers will be on hand to take you back to your hotel.
Went on this tour with my parents and some friends and it was exceptional. What we all liked is that we managed to combine some sightseeing and nature exploration. I think that was quite awesome. Tour guide was friendly and professional. She was fluent in English and we felt comfortable with her. The lunch by the river was so nice. The views were great and we had some time to relax and enjoy the setting. I recommend this tour to all of you.
A delightful day full of interesting sites. I really like to learn the history of each place I’m visiting, so this tour had almost all the elements I was looking for. Spectacular ancient ruins, e very interesting history, and of course beautiful landscapes. I enjoyed the visit at the ancient theatre. Its size and good condition are impressive. Our guide explained some details about it and it appears that this theatre is still in use, wow! The company was great in organising everything. Well done to all people involved, it was a great day!
