Manavgat river is one of the most beautiful natural attractions of our surrounding countryside. About 60km from Alanya and 5km from Side you will join your river boat at Manavgat town. As the boat sets sail down the green waters of the river make sure you keep your eyes peeled for the local wildlife such as turtles nesting in the shade of trees. Enjoy a lazy sunbathe on the boats roof as the gentle breeze provides a rest bite from the midday heat.
Our boat journey takes approximately 2 hours and at the end we are treated to a secluded beach spot where the river meets the Mediterranean sea. This unique natural feature is where cold river water mixes with warmer salty sea water. You’ll be able to take some time to relax on the beach or swim in the cooling waters. Lunch will be served on board the boat as the waves gently lap against the wooden side.
You will then explore the bustling bazaar of Manavgat. Watch as daily life unfolds around you as people shop for their cooking ingredients and daily goods. Bring your best bartering techniques as you haggle with local stall owners for the best priced souvenirs. There is something for everyone at this market place. As well as being a great place to shop, don’t forget to bring your camera as this is often a great spot to capture local life. The Manavgat mosque is also worthy of a visit. The mosque has 4 minarets and visitors will find a stunning collection of ornaments inside. Manavget really is a place that exudes the oriental atmosphere.

Join us on this unique river cruise taking in the famous Manavgat river falls before a leisurely cruise down towards the Mediterranean sea. On this 2-hour adventure we start at the thundering Manavgat falls. Although the water doesn’t drop from a great height the falls are still powerful and impressive to see. From here we cruise past fish farms and local wildlife until we arrive at our beach destination where river meets sea. You’ll have a chance to cool off in the calm water or simply sunbathe on the pristine beach. Following this we venture into the Manavgat bazaar which is a hive of activity. Join the locals as you barter for the best bargains. For a taste of history, local life and nature this all-inclusive tour is perfect.
Pick up: Our drivers will collect you from your hotel and make the 60km journey to Manavgat.
Manavgat river trip: Your double decker boat will be waiting for you upon arrival at Manavgat. You will begin to enjoy your 2-hour leisure cruise by first experiencing the Manavgat falls. Then the scenery becomes more sedate as we pass through the narrow pine tree covered banks. Take time to sunbathe and enjoy the natural surroundings.
Swim break: In the Manavgat delta where the river meets the sea your boat will come to rest allowing you the opportunity to take a refreshing dip in the waters. There is also a beautiful sandy beach where you can continue your sunbathing if you choose.
BBQ Lunch: Lunch will be served on the boat and is of course included in the full price.
Manavgat free time: Upon arrival in Manavgat town you will be able to enjoy some free time to explore the area including the stunning Manavgat mosque, one of the largest on the Mediterranean side of Turkey. The bazaar is a main draw for visitors here and you will no doubt enjoy searching for that perfect souvenir. This is the place to do some serious holiday shopping.
Manavgat waterfall: For those guests who want to take a closer look at the waterfalls our driver will be on hand to take guests the short distance to the falls. Please note there is a small cover charge for this.
Return back: Once all the shopping has been done it is time for us to return to Alanya. Your driver will make sure you are comfortably returned to your hotel.
This boat tour on the Manavgat River from Alanya was one of the most calm and peaceful moments of my holiday! This journey, which started with our pick-up from our hotel on the river bank, provided a peaceful escape in nature. During the boat tour, as we moved silently on the clear waters of the Manavgat River, We enjoyed the surrounding greenery and bird sounds. One of the most enjoyable moments of the boat tour was watching the magnificent view of the Manavgat Waterfall. A short swimming break in the cool waters of the waterfall was one of the most enjoyable moments of the day. We also enjoyed the delicious lunch served at the riverside restaurant It was one of the unforgettable moments of the tour
A delightful day full of exploration and superb landscapes. We are a bit old so we wanted a more easy-going tour, something away from the masses, and something relaxing. This river cruise was marvellous, incredibly beautiful area with interesting places to see and visit. We had a very friendly guide with us. She is local and knew many things. The boat took us to the spot where the river meets the sea and I have to say that I was shocked by the beauty and the power of nature. Such a tranquil meeting point! We weren’t lucky enough to see the turtles, but I hope we will in the future!
